Oliver.  And honestly Kara wasn’t expecting it.  Oliver was reserved but in the strangest way he was also the most open person she’d ever met

Oliver.

Both.  Practical cheesy gifts.

Oliver.  She felt like she’d break apart despite how delicately he was holding her and it was nothing like she’d pictured it but it was so innately Oliver.

Oliver.  

Who starts tickle fights

Oliver.  Sometimes brevity is necessary.

Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower

Oliver.  And he waits for a clear vocal affirmation before joining.

Kara.  Because someone has a tendency to get caught up in work.

Kara.  She was pretty sure she had to have eaten half of the breadsticks before they brought out their drinks, which had only made him smile.

Who kills/takes out the spiders

Oliver, rolling his eyes at Kara who literally wouldn’t feel it if a thousand spiders bit her at once.  The threat of that many at once just made her shiver and she shook her head.

Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk

Oliver doesn’t get “drunk” to a deep degree like before.  it was worth it if he got to laugh along with her with everyone else, raising her hand and kissing the back of it.   So neither?

“What?” she asked embarrassed about the fact that here she was supposed to be a professional hero and yet she had things like sprinkles in her hair, “Sorry, my day job required me to at an event where they were shooting off canons of sprinkles in their air.” she said trying to make it sound better than it did, but there wasn't much she could do to save herself.

Winn had a lot of fears, granted most of them were caused just by his own anxiety. But that didn't stop the fact that he was still terrified of dying. Sure everyone was scared that one day they were going to bite the bullet and they wouldn't have accomplished anything. And that's exactly how he felt. He so badly wanted to do good, to be a hero like everyone around him. And right now, he was enjoying his life. He was finally happy. He wasn't ready to give that up.

So when Alex came in, he couldn't help but let the relief wash over him. She wasn't going to let him die. She would kill him if he died. Holding onto her hand, Winn let himself be grounded in that moment, to not let anything else take his focus. Alex was here, she was practically his older sister at this point.

"Just ya know, watching The Office or Brooklyn Nine-Nine, maybe some Star Wars. I like to keep things interesting." He smiled, not letting himself look at the wound, or at the blood pool. He just focused on the moment, naming things in his head that he could see, touch, or even smell. "I'm pretty lucky that we have our own black ops team."

“It’s fine” Ruby shook her head, trying to get up, but a dizzy spell made her sit back down again. “Hazard of me being a survivor. My immune system is a little garbage”

“Okay, I’ll go with you” Ruby nodded, Thanksgiving wasn’t something Ruby celebrated much, she usually ended up working or volunteering that day. And she couldn’t promise she wouldn’t need a little break at some point during the evening. But if she was wanted or asked to be there then she would go.
