Yeah, it really doesn’t Pat...I’ve been reading your Superman series from the very start, and you got me hooked on your comics ever since I started comics with Robin, Son of Batman. Seeing your last issue of Superman leaves me with a heartache i cant really express. I feel like I’m saying goodbye to a dear friend I’ve made these past two years. I”ll miss you @patrickgleasonart . Your stories and your characters, you Superman, Superboy and Lois, will stay with me, inspiring me for the rest of my life.
Superman #45 I was fine and then they hit me with some Robert Frost. Flashback to The Outsiders.
Went to my two local comic shops and snagged these this week (and met Tomasi! and had him sign things!). Now I don’t know what to do with them (other than framing that Nightwing because Dick and Uncle Clark!), but I am really pleased. I wanted a Super Sons issue signed, but they were like, clean out of all but one, and I had a panic over what to get and probably chose wrong in hindsight, but oh well. Tomasi asked if we enjoyed the Superman run and my husband nodded (he’s only read 1-6 because I made him stop and read Damian’s entire existence before proceeding, which I realize I should’ve told Tomasi since he wrote a LOT of that) and I popped up from behind my husband and went YES!! and he laughed and was like, aha she’s the fan, and then I said that his story and Gleason’s art in AC 1000 made me literally cry. And my husband asked about his cryptic tweets about not being finished with Jon... Tomasi said we would be “pleasantly surprised” and “really happy” with DC’s plans for Jon. And it wasn’t like, blah company line. He had a pleased smile about it and everything. So hold tight, friends!
Flash Appearance Superman #45 Haven’t done a Flash appearance in awhile. Here is one from this past week. Story by Patrick Gleason and Peter Tomasi with art by Patrick Gleason @patrickgleasonart
And even though the mayor credits Superman and Superboy with saving the town, deep down... we all know we’re a part of the same team. But it’s the hard work... and Frost was right-- nothing gold can stay. But when we feel lost, and the darkness seems to be growing, that’s when we look for new things that are golden... that’s when we get to shine brighter.

I always believed that SM was one of the smartest heroes of the DC universe, even more than Batman, rather more than Batman, you see, SM can think very fast (remember him playing chess with Flash in super speed), it can read very fast, learn very fast and think very fast but apparently his intelligence and knowledge acquired were connected to his powers because without his he was stupid! If there is no one else to speak is because you banished all who love you from their company, if Lois revealed your identity to the world it was because you took a civilian unprepared and uncontrolled with you to something important rather than ask for help to the Justice League or your super heroine girlfriend. If you lost your job was because you lied all the time about who you really are (lies of omission remember?), The Fortress and your powers? Well you lost them because you was behaving like an addict exhibitionist who loves to blow yourself and get naked in front of everyone. I still do not know where the writers want to reach turning the SM in a hypocritical, ungrateful (yes it was very meaty with Wonder Woman) and a jerk. I still do not know if all this slapstick comes down to cause he has some sort of romance with Lois creating a stupid love triangle, plus lower his power and his intelligence to give him to her just proves my theory: to stay with Lois he can not be himself, be complete or in his full powers or in his full intelligence!
