I’m really afraid a lot of shippers (both Destiel and Wincest) are going to get very excited for the Dean pining line when I’m convinced it’s supposed to be about the bizarre Amara connection and I a) don’t want people to be upset and b) am not looking forward to seeing exclamations of queer baiting when everything in the narrative points to it being about the Amara connection (as far as I see)

Wow I don’t know why (well I have a vague idea) but my wank blacklist seems to be catching a LOT right now. Never been so glad to have blacklisted wank and for once in my life I’m not going to give into temptation to click and read it anyway to “just see what they said.” I feel like I’m growing as a person :D

Wow, so there are apparently several explosions of varying sizes and varying points on the “calm discussion” to “bitter rage” spectrum about this Dean vs Sam blame game and I am SO happy I didn’t accidentally get involved in one and I would like to thank everyone I follow for keeping so much of it behind links and cuts so that I can stay on the sidelines.

I WILL say that, just like I was really upset last year when Sam said some stuff to Dean to hurt him that felt like kicking him when he was down, Sam girls have every right to be upset about this now. And just like last year, the place Sam was coming from was understandable - he wasn’t a monster or a terrible person, he was just hurt, alone, and felt utterly betrayed by the one person he cares about and trusts the most. Just like now, when Dean’s grieving and lashing out and, while in the midst of that, fighting a losing battle with the MoC and he just found out his support system to help mitigate the effects of the mark has been going behind his back. Doesn’t make what he said less hurtful, just like it doesn’t make him an abusive asshole for saying it.

Perhaps if I read more, I’d find out that there’s more to what these fights are about but if I read, then I’ll definitely get involved so I’ll just stay here, munching on my popcorn until it blows over.
