You stood off in the wings of the stage, hopefully going unnoticed by the fans in front of it watching your boyfriend and his best friend answer the fans questions at the panel.

The next fan took the mic and told the boys her name. She followed this up with a compliment for Jensen. 'You were amazing last night.'

You thought nothing of it, knowing that she was talking about his performance. That's was you loved about Jensen; he was a rockstar on stage but if you take that away he's a shy person. You had been seeing the changes in him recently, though, another fan loved his performance and Jensen had said thank you without so much as blushing. You were proud of him, you noticed the progress he was making, overcoming shyness is a hard thing to do and he was slowly but surely getting better and it warmed your heart.

The next thing you heard was Jared repeating the word 'whoooahhh' three times. It was then when it hit you, you knew exactly what Jared was thinking about and you couldn't help but smile and giggle as you remember what happened after Jensen came back to the hotel room.

As soon as you walked through the hotel door, his hands were instantly on you as yours were tracing every inch of his body. Clothes were shrewd over the floor, leaving a messy path in their wake.

You mumbled under your breath, 'oh, for fuck sake, Jared.' Knowing that he would never let you live this moment down until something else were to come up and top this moment. You were right as the 6 foot 4 man turned to you and winked.

Just by looking at his adorable face, you could tell that Jensen wanted to move onto the next question. 'Um...thank you.'

When the panel was over and done with Jensen elbowed Jared in the ribs, a playful dig into the bones.

'Hey, Jay,' you murmured into his neck as he wrapped his arms around your waist and rested his head on your shoulder.

When he lifted his head, he kissed you soundly. His eyes were still closed, it was a quick kiss but they were still filled with the love and adoration he had for you and you for him. His forehead was pressed against yours as he pulled away, 'hey, baby. Have I ever told you how much I hate Jared?'

You smirked, 'only when he makes you flustered or embarrassed.' Jensen tipped his head back and groaned.

Wrapping your arms around his neck, you whispered in his ear, 'were you thinking about last night as well?'

'And this morning. And the quickie just before the panel.' His grip around your waist tightened as he spoke.

From your forearms being closed around his neck, you hands traveled down so your fingers could play with the shirt strands of hair at the nape of his neck and thumb could stroke at either side of his sharp jawline covered in stubble. 'You're cute, you know that, right? And you, sir, age like fine wine.'

'And you are so fucking gorgeous. There hasn't been a day that has gone by that I don't think you are beautiful. Especially when you have your sweatpants on and your hair is in a messy bun.' He accentuated each of the compliments with a kiss to your ready and waiting lips.

Before things could get any more heated and devour each other, Jared had awkwardly coughed behind Jensen. When you pulled away, you stared at him, for rudely interrupting you. You and Jensen simultaneously exclaimed.

'For fuck sake, Jared!'

I just realized

There was no Mishapocalypse this year. None. I did not see a single Misha. I would say we are free, free of the day of an endless repeating sea of that one cursed photo, I would, but I can’t, because I feel sad. April 1st, 2013, the first wave of Mishapocalypse came, year after year I watched it fade, and now it has dwindled to nothing. Where have the times gone. Who will remember this bittersweet event. Who will be left to tell our tales.

‘Daddy, wake up.’

Jensen shook out of his dream and focused his eyes on his four-year-old son, Max.

His lips curled into a sleepy smile. When he turned his head to the right he saw you, your bright eyes staring back into his gorgeous green ones.

Your arm was draped over the expanse of his torso, right hand resting on his shoulder.

It was moments like these that were quite rare, even though it was Jensen’s birthday, he would usually be at a convention or filming. It just felt good to wake up with your little family with you.

Your faces came closer, as you both leaned forward. The gap was finally closed as your lips pressed together in a lazy kiss. Although gentle, he never made the kiss redundant of passion.

'Ew, gross. Stooop it.’

You both laughed at your son’s interruption of your morning activities but you didn’t care. Heads resting against each other’s as you pulled your connected lips apart. All you cared for was the man beside you and the little boy beside him. Your activities could wait until later when Max was in bed.

'Happy Birthday Jay,’ you whispered against his lips as you quickly pecked his lips again.

He sat up, his back leaning against the headboard of your shared bed. You joined him, copying his actions and tucking yourself away under his shoulder. Jensen grabbed your son and plopped him down on his lap.

'You know…’ He trailed out. 'I used to hate my birthday.’

You looked up into his eyes, 'and now?’ You said, reaching up to scratch lightly at his hiatus beard. The scruff tickling your fingertips.

'And now,’ he stopped, kissing the tip of your nose and tickling Max’s sides. 'I have a beautiful family. It used to remind me that I’m gettin’ old but now I realise it was one year closer to gettin’ the best thing I ever had in life. I realised now that every year that goes by is gonna get better than the previous year because I have you guys by my side and I think that’s enough because I love you both, with all my heart.’

'Mommy, why are you crying?’

You hadn’t noticed the tears slipping down your face until Max had said anything. Max had crawled off Jensen’s lap and sat in yours. He cradled your head in his little hands and leaned forward, kissing away the tears on your cheeks before kissing your eyelids.

'I’m not sad, baby. I’m just really really happy. I’m overwhelmed by how much we all love each other.’

Jensen hugged you tight and kissed your temple multiple times. He settled back into the bed, with you and Max following suit before quickly drifting off to sleep; having a lazy morning.

SPN Hiatus Writing Challenge Week 17: “How long have you been standing there?”

“Hello?”

“Amy, hey!” you wedged the phone between your ear and your shoulder as you sifted through papers and slid them into a folder.

“Hey! What’s up?”

“Well, I called to....”

“Oh my God.” You paused as she cut you off, trying to hear what was going on on her side of the phone. “You finally asked him out?” Rolling your eyes, you closed the folder and carried it over to your desk, setting it next to the others.

“No, Amy, I haven’t asked him out.”

“Why not?” You sighed, moving towards your couch and plopping down as your friend and roommate went on.

“Now, I’ve only seen him on TV and in pictures, but......if he’s as nice as he is good looking.....you need to jump on that.” Shaking your head, you chuckled softly as you propped your feet up on the coffee table in front of you.

“Are you done?” you heard her huff into the phone.

“Yes.”

“Alright. I didn’t call to get the third degree about asking a guy out.”

“Then why did you call?”

“I left some things there last night and I was hoping you could bring them to me tomorrow.” you heard her shuffle with something as she asked.

“Sure. What is it?”

“Some paperwork. Should be in a folder on your desk, marked with tomorrow’s date.” It was silent except for some movement on her end.

“Yep, found it.” You sighed in relief, grateful that you remembered exactly where you left it.

“Thank you.”

“Yep.”

“Norman!” One of your great friends turned with a smile as he heard you yell his name. You smiled back, happy that he was all ready to go for the day. He was in his black jeans and biker jacket, and makeup already had their way with him for there was blood dripping from his head.

“Hey, sweetie. What’s up?”

“Hey. I’ve been told to give you this.” Handing him the packet, he was careful not to get it too dirty.

“Couldn’t have waited?” You both chuckled as you shook your head. 

“I wish I could have, but....you know them.”

“Yeah. Well, thank you.” You gave him a nod and leaned in as he went to kiss you on the cheek.

“Y/N!” Your eyes landed on Amy as she made her way toward you and you turned to Norman, smiling.

“I’ll see you in a minute.” He nodded and went for the set.

“Hey, sorry. I tried to get here before you had to shoot again.”

“You just caught me.” you said with a smile as you took the folder out of her hands.

“Good.” You were about to thank her and send her on her way, but that’s when a couple guys from set made their way out, stopping you from doing so.

“Told you she wasn’t too far.” The blush filled smile was inevitable on you, and Amy knew it. She couldn’t help but look from you to the guy you’ve been gushing over for the longest time now.

“What, do you have a spidey sense now or something?” The man smiled, never taking his eyes off you, which Amy also caught. You told her that you wouldn’t make a move because you didn’t think he’d go for you, but this was her time to judge for herself.

“Only when it comes to you, sweetheart.” Amy bit her lip, trying to hold in her excitement.

“I’ll be there in a minute.” The other crew members nodded and moved back toward set, but Amy kept her eyes on this man as he stayed in place, keeping his eyes on you. That was until you looked back at him.

“I do believe Y/N has lost her manners.” You rolled your eyes as he reached his hand out, grabbing Amy’s. “I’m Jeffrey. But you can call me Jeff.”

“Oh, I know who you are. Jeffrey Dean Morgan.” His smile grew, glancing at you briefly. “I love your work.”

“Well, thank you.” 

“Sorry.” she apologized, giggling softly. “I’m Amy. Y/N’s friend.”

“Ah. Well, thank you, Amy.” As Jeffrey looked back to you, Amy couldn’t help but linger on the two of you. But then you cleared your throat, breaking the silence.

“Right! Sorry. I’ll let you two get back to work, and I’ll see you.” she pointed at you, waiting to hear when you were off.

“Tomorrow afternoon.”

“Tomorrow afternoon.” she repeated, slowly backing herself toward the gates. “It was nice meeting you, Jeff.”

“You too.” he waved and waited until she was out of sight before looking back at you.

“Ready to get back to work, slacker?” You scoffed, making the first move towards the set.

“I’m not a slacker.”

“Sure you aren’t.”

Finally finishing off the day, you kicked your shoes off and went for a water. You could have drove home then, but you knew you would be too tired, so you always stayed in your trailer and waited to leave the next day.

Standing in the kitchen, you practically chugged the water bottle in your hand and you were debating whether you wanted something stronger or not. But before you could fully decide, your phone went off.

You answered it, put it on speaker and sat it on the counter as you went for the liqueur cabinet.

“Hi, Amy.”

“Hey. You done for the day?”

“Yes I am. So, what’s up?” Grabbing your liqueur of choice, you shut the cabinet and popped the top.

“Y/N, you are so blind.” You paused, your brow furrowing as you looked down at the phone.

“You lost me.”

“Girl! That man is totally into you.” You rolled your eyes, taking a big chug.

“There’s a difference between being playful and being into someone, Amy, and Jeffrey....he’s playful.”

“Oh my God, Y/N. You need to ask him out.”

“No, I don’t need to do anything.” She huffed, clearly irritated that you keep shooting her down.

“If you don’t ask him, then I will.”

“Okay, if this is why you called, then I’m gonna let you go.” you moved toward the counter, ready to hang the phone up.

“Y/N...he’s into you, and you are so into him. Just rip the band aid off already!”

“Alright, I’m gonna let you go.”

“No. Y/N!”

“I’ll see you tomorrow, Amy.”

“Y/N!” you hit the end button, sighing as you stared down at your phone.

“What exactly do you mean by ‘playful’?” You jumped slightly, spinning around to see Jeffrey standing in the doorway of your trailer.

“How long have you been standing there?” He pulled away from the door, slowly moving towards the kitchen.

“Probably since you answered that call.” Closing your eyes, you mentally cussed yourself out. 

“But you didn’t answer my question.” Opening your eyes again, he was making his way up to you, his eyes locked with yours. You were silent for a moment, trying to find your voice.

“Playful. I just....you like to tease your coworkers. You know, play with them.”

“Is that a bad thing?”

“No.” you answered with a soft smile, shaking your head softly. “It makes work more fun.” His chuckle was deep like his voice. Something that drove you crazy, in way more than a good way.

“I always pegged you for a Supernatural girl.” Your brow furrowed in confusion, but you never broke eye contact.

“What do you mean?” He shrugged, taking another step closer to you.

“Well, I just thought that you had the hots for my costars back on Supernatural.”

“Why did you think that?” He got closer, looking deep into your eyes.

“Because they’re closer to your age.” You quickly wet your lips, sucking at your bottom lip for a second before replying.

“Then why do you think I’m here working on The Walking Dead?” He was silent, not blinking as his eyes darting between yours..

“You have a thing for zombies?” A smirk slowly grew on you, and you dug deep for the courage to answer him.

“Why would you insult yourself like that?” As a smirk grew on him, yours turned into a genuine smile.

Feeling his fingers graze your chin, your heart was racing like crazy, but you kept your cool. And as he leaned in, you just let it happen.

His soft lips met yours and you were surprised that you were still standing. No one has ever kissed you like that.

But as he pulled away, you groaned quietly, and thankfully you did for you didn’t hear anyone knock on your door. But he did.

“Jeff, we need you for another ten to twenty.”

“Okay, I’ll be right there.” You got so lost in the kiss that you couldn’t even hear who it was. But as you heard the door shut, you looked back into his gorgeous eyes just as he whispered.

“You should get dressed.” You were breathless, and you wanted to stop him from walking away from you in that moment but you were frozen.

Somehow you were able to watch him walk to your door and thankfully before he could open it, you spoke.

“Why?” He stopped as he reached for the handle, looking back at you with a soft smile.

“Because when I’m done, we’re going out to dinner.”

Summary: Reader has finally recovered from her coma and her and Mark are doing wonderful.

You rolled out of bed, grumbling. It was your first day to go back to work and you were not ready to return. You were supposed to return a few days after being discharged from the hospital, but you had decided you wanted to wait a little while longer. Just in case. Mark had stayed with you while you were recovering from your coma, but he had to leave to do some filming for a show. He promised he'd return as soon as filming was over for him. Things between the two of you had gotten a little more serious over the few months you'd spent together. You bought a house together and he officially asked you out on your third date. You were extremely happy to take that next step together. You hadn't been intimate just yet because you wanted to take things slow and he respected that. You adored him even more than you did before you met him. You didn't think he could be so loving and caring towards someone he only knew for less than a year. It was incredible to you.

You checked your phone because every morning he'd send you a good morning text telling you he missed you. This time, the text was different.

“Good morning, beautiful. I hope you have a wonderful day at work. Just want to let you know that I love you and miss you more than anything. I'll be back soon and when I am, I've got something for you. It's a surprise. ;) Love you babygirl. <3”

You smiled at the message and wondered what he could possibly have for you. You sighed happily, smiling wider. Boy did you love this man and felt forever grateful that you had him. You bit your lip, sending him a quick reply.

“Thank you, baby. I love and miss you too. :( I can't wait til you come back. And oh? I can't wait to see what it is. I love you, baby. <3”

You set your phone down and began getting ready for work. You threw on a simple out fit, jeans and a blouse, and quickly did your hair and makeup. As soon as you finished, you headed to work. The closer you got, the more nervous you grew. The events of that night kept flashing back to you and it horrified you to no extent. As you pulled up, you let out a shaky breath. You weren't sure why you were so nervous, but then it hit you. You never found out what happened to Jordan that night. Was he still alive? Was he back in prison? You didn't know, but you planned on asking Valary when you got inside.

You parked in the employee parking lot and went in through the back door. You found Valary gathering a few things from the back room.

“Hey Val.”

“Y/N!” She squealed, running over to hug you.

You laughed, returning the hug.

“I've missed you, Y/N!”

“I've missed you too! Hey... I have a question. Uhm. What ever happened to Jordan?” You bit down on your lip nervously, looking up at her.

“Oh, Y/N. Mark never told you?”

You shook your head.

“You don't need to worry about Jordan anymore. He's dead.”

“He is?”

“Yeah. He shot one of the cops that night, so the other put him down.”

“He what?! Is the cop dead?!”

“Oh no the cop is fine. It wasn't too serious of a wound. It only knicked his arm, but the cops did what they had to. Jordan was a threat to many. He got what he had coming.”

You nodded, not being able to believe Jordan was actually dead. You were relieved to know you never had to worry about him hurting you ever again, but you also felt guilty. Val studied your face and frowned.

“What is it?”

“I just... I don't know... Feel guilty?”

“Y/N, don't you dare feel guilty for Jordan being dead.”

“It's not just that. He caused so much trouble that night... If I had just left with him...”

“Stop it. Don't say that. He would have killed you whether you left with him or not. He was a horrible person, Y/N. Don't feel guilty over him.”

“Alright, alright. I won't. Thanks...”

“I'm just telling you the truth.”

You smiled, giving her one more hug before going off and grabbing your apron to get ready.

“So, how are you and Mark?”

You grinned widely, tying your apron around your waist.

“Incredible. He is so amazing, Val. I've never been happier with anyone in my life.”

“I'm glad! You two were literally made for each other.”

“I guess we were, huh?” You blushed, smiling as you thought about him.

“You love him, don't you?”

“More than anyone. He treats me so right, he cares about me more than anyone ever has.”

“I can tell just by happy you look.”

“Mm. I hope we spend our lives together.”

“Oh I'm sure you will,” she smiled.

You nodded and grabbed a guest check pad from one of the drawers along with a pen.

“So is Ken the head chef tonight?” You asked.

“He is.”

“Awesome. I like him so much better than Chad.”

“Same here.”

You both laughed and headed toward the kitchen where the Ken and the cooks were preparing food.

“Hey everyone,” you smiled.

“Y/N! It's so good to have you back!” Zack, one of the cooks said with a grin.

“I'm glad to be back. I've missed you all.”

“So you're feeling better?”

“Much,” you smiled.

Ken came over and gave you a hug.

“I'm happy to see you doing so well. It hasn't been the same around here without you.”

“I've been told,” you laughed.

“It's a full house tonight, so be prepared to work your ass off.”

“Oh I'm prepared.”

You headed toward the kitchen doors and peaked out into the restaurant, observing how many people were there. Most of the tables had at least 4 people at them. You sighed slightly, knowing you were in for a long night.

You arrived home from work around 3 in the morning. Things at the restaurant were more hectic than you expected, so you were completely exhausted. You plopped down onto your bed face first, sighing into your pillow. As soon as your eyes shut you were out like a light.

It was around 8 in the morning when the sound of your phone ringing woke you from your peaceful slumber. You rubbed the sleep from your eyes and rolled over to grab your phone. You smiled as you saw it was Mark that was calling. You quickly answered and brought your phone to your ear.

“Hey,” you said sleepily.

“Did I wake you?”

“Yes, but it's alright. I can go back to sleep in a few.”

“What time did you get home last night?”

“Three,” you sighed.

“Damn. That busy?”

“Mm.”

“I'm sorry, babe. Anyway, I'm coming home earlier than expected. Filming ended sooner than I thought it would.”

“Really?” You grinned.

“Yep. I'll be home tomorrow afternoon.”

“I can't wait.”

“Me too. I've missed you so much and I can't wait to sleep next to you again.”

“Me too, baby.”

“I love you and I'll see you tomorrow. Get some sleep, okay?”

“Okay, baby. I love you too. See you tomorrow.”

“Bye, beautiful.”

“Bye,” you grinned, hanging up the phone and setting it back on your night stand.

You rolled over onto your back and smiled up at the ceiling. You were excited that he was coming home sooner. You were beginning to hate feeling alone. You rolled over onto your side and grabbed his pillow, hugging it close to you and closing your eyes. You fell asleep once again and finally awoke for good around 11.

You got out of bed and headed to the bathroom to take a quick shower. You decided that you were gonna go out and spend the day in town. Go out for breakfast, do some shopping, maybe treat yourself to a manicure.You made a lot in tips the night before, so you were definitely treating yourself. You wanted to pretty yourself up for Mark's arrival the next day. You knew he'd appreciate the gesture.

After you got yourself ready, you headed out into town. You ate breakfast at the small cafe and then headed for the strip mall. You bought yourself a few dresses for future dates with Mark, as well as some outfits. You browsed around for a while before finally heading to nail salon to get your nails done. You chatted with the woman doing your nails about everything that happened to you over the past 7 months and she seemed very interested in your story. When she finished with your nails, you gave her a nice big tip and headed back home. You were happy with how your day went. You hadn't had a day to yourself in many years.

When you arrived back home, you put away your purchases and binge watched your favorite shows on Netflix. By the time you finished your shows, it was nearly midnight.

“Christ, where has the time gone?”

You laughed to yourself before turning everything in the living room off and heading to your room to get ready for bed. You climbed into bed and laid there for a good ten minutes before falling asleep.

You felt someone brushing your hair from your face and opened your eyes to see Mark sitting beside you on the bed. You smiled widely and sat up to give him a kiss. He returned the kiss, cupping your face in his hands.

“God have I missed you,” he mumbled.

“I missed you too,” you smiled, looking up at him.

“You look so beautiful in the morning.”

“Oh shut up,” you laughed, moving to sit on the edge of the bed beside him. “How was filming?”

“It was great! Everything went better than they expected.”

“I'm glad to hear.”

“So how was your day yesterday, babe?”

“Great! I went out for breakfast, did some shopping at the mall, and then got my nails done.”

“Very nice. What did you buy?”

“Just a few outfits and some dresses for future dates.”

“Good. I'm glad you bought some dresses because tonight I'm taking you out on a date and you're going to wear this,” he smiled, pulling out a beautiful diamond necklace from a box.

You gasped, taking it in your hands.

“Oh my God, Mark. It's beautiful... Is that what the surprise was?”

“Mhm. You like it?”

“Mark, I love it!”

You grinned as Mark took the necklace to put it around your neck and you leaned forward to press your lips to his. The kiss lasted for a minute before you finally pulled away.

“I love you so much.”

“I love you too, Y/N.”

You stood up from the bed and smiled.

“I'm gonna go grab a something to eat. Do you want anything?”

“No I'm alright. I'm just gonna hop in the shower real quick.”

“Okay.”

You gave him a quick kiss before going down to the kitchen to make yourself a quick peanut butter and jelly sandwich. You sat down at the kitchen table and took a bite of your PB&J, smiling to yourself. You felt extremely lucky to have met Mark. Never in your many years of existence did you think you'd ever be in a relationship with him, let alone live with him. You let out a happy sigh, reaching to grab your necklace and fiddle with it. It was a beautiful necklace indeed and you felt undeserving of such a gift, but you knew Mark loved you and wanted you to feel special in some way. And you did.
