Supernatural Increase
First of, forgive me for not being online so much. I've been busy trying to catch up with all my work, but fortunately I got a breather tonight. I haven't posted about my trip to Singapore and Malaysia, so here I go...
Being back in Singapore was awesome, though I couldn't say the same for the "hotel". But it was just a low priced hotel, so my expectations weren't that high anyway. But during the two days we were at Singapore, we spent one day at Universal Studios, and my gosh it was AWESOME. I rode the Mummy Ride twice, but I didn't go up against the Cylon track at the Battlestar Galactica. Call me a chicken, but we just ate lunch at that time, and after the ride, one of my friends who did ride it threw up. It just made me feel better about my choice.
But Universal Studios was just the bonus of our trip. The real highlight was at the camp in Malaysia. I got to spend time with my brothers and sisters in Christ in Singapore as well as getting reacquainted with old friends who I met two years ago and it was just fun. It was so awesome to just see them again and just spend quality time with them. Even with the ones I didn't know, I just talked and made jokes and it felt as if we were really just one HUGE family.
And God really spoke to me during that camp. When the pastor called for all the leaders to stand at the front to be prayed for and I went up with my fellow church leaders, the pastor led us to recommit ourselves once again. And God spoke to me very simply: "I can still use you." I wondered why this was His word for me, but I soon got my answer: He revealed to me that for the past months, doubt has been sinking in my mind, doubt that He can still use me. I wasn't aware of it, but it was there. I thought I was inadequate because of all my wrongs and sins, but then He spoke that He can still use me and revealed to me that this was actually pride. I've been relying on myself far too long, relying on myself as I functioned as a leader, and therefore didn't function at all because by myself, I am inadequate. But God then reminded me that it's all about Him, that it's through the Holy Spirit I'll be able to lead and function well.
At that point I prayed for forgiveness for my arrogance, ignorance, pride, and complacency. Too long have I been just sitting feeling a-ok about everything and thinking everything was fine. But not anymore. God wanted me to move. God wanted me to really rise up as a leader, the leader He called me to be.
And now here I am, safely back in Bangkok but still very much on fire because of what I received from Singapore. Oh, and if you were wondering why the title's "Supernatural Increase", that was the theme of the camp. And God has assured me that he will bring supernatural increase not only in my personal life, but in my leadership and even in my church - literally, in finance and the number of attendance, financially and spiritually.
And to you who's reading this, let me share what I learned: God doesn't want to give you a blessing. God wants to rain down His blessings on you! Receive it! Our God is a giver and He loves to give and He will never withhold His blessings from His children.
Supernatural increase, people. Supernatural increase.
