The River Song (What Happened To You)
My latest song. Dedicated to Lizzie for inspiring the thought process. I may re-do this song at a later date as this version is a little meh. Basically, this song is how I feel towards River Song. She had the potential to be the best character ever and, well… Listen to the song.
There’s a woman in the library
Her name is River song and she’s a professor
She says she knows the doctor
But her face he can’t recall.
They keep meeting throughout time
There wasn’t a better moment
Than when she opened her visor and said hello sweetie
She knows the Doctors name
This could be the best story ever
(Chorus) -River Song what happened to you
What did Moffat do to make watching you a chore
And River Song, I know it isn’t fair
That I don’t care when you’re on the screen anymore
And the doctor has changed his face
But they go to fight angels in a scary cave place
Maybe we’ll find out more about her tale
Nope, nothing, except that she’s jail
You’ve provided no answers
And created new questions too
And she says we’ll soon find out more about her (about time)
A good man goes to war at the battle of demons run
And River says she won’t be there
The answer to the mystery
-What does this have to do with knowing the Doctor’s name?
All of these plot twists are getting a little bit lame
So she was raised to kill the Doctor
By people who kidnapped her at birth
But when she refuses to do so
she destroys the entire universe
even though the doctor spent his life
And the wedding on the pyramid
He never even said his name
So she would’ve married a robot
In a timeline that shall never be
And we still know nothing about the name or the screwdriver
But we know she dates the doctor and that Amy is her mother.
As a projection from Clara’s mind
That somehow stretches across
She open doors and kiss the doctor
Even though she’s in Clara’s mind
I can’t find an explanation
And believe me I have tried
Something to do with the Doctor missing her fucking face
And I still don’t know what I wanted to know in the first fucking place
Surrounded in mystery but became a parody (Fade)
