SINGAPORE 2019 - DAY THREE
Gardens by the Bay - Supertree Grove. Honestly, I found the super trees were fun to look at, but wouldn’t make the journey to the gardens just to see them. The lighting show was a fun distraction to close out my time at the gardens, but the two domes (Flower Dome and Cloud Forest) are the highlight of the area, and I would make sure to see them before spending time in the rest of the massive gardens.

Singapore’s supertree grove is a pretty amazing cluster of towers, combing vertical gardens, elaborate lighting and complex metalwork to give the impression of a forest. They range form 25-50 metres in height, with their canopies designed to provide shade from the harsh equatorial sun. Every evening, a dramatic light show plays to visitors in the park. I took this photo while visiting last year, sitting beneath the canopies and waiting for the show to begin.
