Ok, so if I play a mimic vat in EDH and allow my commander to go to the graveyard and imprint it can I choose to move it back to the command zone when I exile it? Also, if the commander is prossh, does it create tokens off of mimic vat? And finally, if I have doubling season do I get 2 copys of my commander for the tokens? Thanks! sorry this is a long scenario.
Yes, you can send your commander back to the command zone when it’s exiled with Mimic Vat, but if you do this then you won’t be able to make any token copies of it. The last card exiled by Mimic Vat has to actually be in exile for it to be able to create copies of that creature.
As for Prossh, tokens aren’t cast so Prossh’s ETB trigger won’t create any Kobold tokens.
