My Zombie Gal. Still no name figured out for her. All I know is that she's been zombie-ing around for a few hundred years at this point and has permanent resting-zombie-bitch-face (it's not her fault her facial muscles have deteriorated!)

At some point In the early 2000s she discovered Hime Gyaru and was obsessed. I just have not gotten around to the craftiness involved in making her full Gyaru'd out 😬 sorry Zombie Gal.

I think in my head, once my MaskCat Lisette arrives, the story will be that Zombie Gal and Lisette have a sort of...'have to be friends because they're the only two beings that have been alive for a few hundred years' thing going on. Lisette I imagine as a very trad Victorian style girl. She's seen it all but she's stuck on her roots and doesn't get modern fashions. Zombie Gal is the opposite and loves the modern era. Lisette probably gets onto Zombie Gal a lot for just walking around public half decayed all the time. But Zombie Gal happily tells her that everyone thinks its just part of her aesthetic! I imagine Zombie Gal has a bit of a social media following as the infamous "Zombie Gal". Everyone keeps asking for a sfx tutorial, so Zombie Gal practices on Lisette so she can fool everyone into actually believing she's not a real Zombie lol

I'm a few days late, but I finally snapped the year end group photo (minus two dolls that are away getting painted)!

It is very tempting to change things up for the 2026 end of year photo to maybe do the large dolls and minis separately, but ffff...I love seeing them all mingled together. Unfortunately though, it is a huge pain in the ass finding the energy to get them set up together in a way where you can see most everyone.

I’m not dead, just seriously tired. Been a bit of nonstop stress and moving.

Had a thought last night that Amber would look good with black hair. For once my thought didn’t disappoint. It also frees up the purple Wintermoon wig for my lavender Kitsune in the future.

Side note, as I was sorting and packing I could not find the original elf ears that went to this head. I’ve been scouring through stuff for the longest time. She has my tan Hamin’s ears hot glued on. Gods only know where they went….

got a replacement ear from Supia for Cassie back in November, only just got around to putting it on her today 😔 seems the "lack of time/energy/funds for hobbies" issue that plagued me thru 2024 has not yet gotten off my ass 😒

anyway she was missing an ear for....something like a year before i realized 1. i was never, ever going to find the one that fell off and 2. i could get a new one from Supia. in theory Supia's magnetic ears are a really cool idea, especially if you want to switch back and forth between elf and human. in practice they're too easy to lose, and i never use the elf pair for her and don't need to change them.

so just to make sure i never have to deal with that again, tonight i superglued both of her ears on. one less problem 😅

also tried out the new ring light i got last fall for doll photos and have only gotten to touch once since then. it only sort-of compensated for the bad indoor overhead light and my increasingly crappy phone camera, but i think it will be fun to use in better conditions and with my non-phone camera.
