i related a belated coming out story a couple posts back so that today, i'd have time to say

and just let that be.

Hey mutuals, an anon has brought something to my attention. They said my url (2020 is my spirit animal) is anti-native. So let me explain a few things.

I practice an ancient pre-christian religion, centered around nature, which includes spirit animals

Therefore I was not even thinking about native Americans when I made this humorous url. I was thinking of my own life and the very very popular meme of calling random things spirit animals.

This url had to be made in a hurry to escape an abusive roomate and I didn't want them to be able to track me, which is why I didn't put much thought into it

As anyone who follows me knows, I hate Christopher columbus. I hate that we took this country from native americans. I hate the racist halloween costumes. I hate the DAPL and hugely supported the protests. I love and respect natives I know irl and in general. I go to a pow wow near a section of the trail of tears everywhere to appreciate native americans and support them by buying from them directly. I am aware and hate how violently the government treats them. I know what andrew Jackson did and curse his name every time I see him. I constantly post native positivity, and links to donations and resources that help. To make a long story short, I love and support native Americans.

This is why, despite the fact that I feel I should be able to joke about my own religion, I am changing my url. Because it's not just me on here and I could be hurting native users by keeping it. I never want to hurt native Americans; they've had far too much of that already. I will be changing my url to Jade-TheDreamer
