october 15th is NATIONAL GENERAL STRIKE DAY !!!! do not participate in the economy. so please, if you can participate, PLEASE do. we want our voices to be heard and this is for the improvement for everyone.
here are some things you can do to contribute to the movement...
boycotting includes media consumption. these corporations benefit greatly from ad revenue and product placement (tiktok, youtube, twitch, netflix, hulu, hbo, etc)
DO NOT GO IN TO WORK ON OCTOBER 15
and if you aren't able to strike...
wear a red bandanna
work like you are full staffed (slow)
IF you have the funds, please donate to local food pantries
print fliers of our demands (which you can find in the video below) and put them around your town, hand them out, or put them in tip jars
lastly, please boost this and spread the news across your social media platforms. talk to your teachers, classmates/peers, friends, family and whoever. our voices must be heard !!!!! more information can be found on the tiktok account: @strikeoctober
Medical debts shouldn't be a thing.
Student loans shouldn't be a thing.
School lunch debts shouldn't be a thing.
It's completely criminal, how much food costs these days.
The most basic requirements for human survival shouldn't be so expensive that many people simply can't afford to eat.
Poor people deserve to live.
Poor people deserve nice things.
Poor people deserve to do things that make them happy.
Just because people haven't worn rags and begged in the streets doesn't mean they don't know hardship and poverty.
I can't believe it's 2022 and this still needs to be said.
"People shouldn't get paid to just exist and do nothing" oh you mean like the Kardashians and the British royal family.
I will never be able to understand the wealth hoarders.
Imagine going through life caring about nothing but money.
You can't be both "eat the rich" and mourning a monarch.
You just can't.
