It was waaay too hot to sit around and do nothing, but some people didn’t see a problem with it. Which would have been fine if she didn’t need a partner to play volleyball with. It just so happened Python was in her line of sight, therefore, the first victim.
It’s not like he was doing anything anyway.
Mae strolls up to him, ball under her arm and spirits high. She begins to greet him as the friendly acquaintance she was, but he has the audacity to tell her to buzz off. And for what? So his highness can catch a tan?
She quirks a brow. “You’re about the shade of this sand, dude.”
Then, a smirk pulls at her lips. She shifts a little so she’s deliberately blocking the sun over his head and uses her free hand to snap her fingers into a gun.
“Besides, you can soak up plenty of vitamin D by joining in on this game.” She tossed the volleyball in the air then promptly caught it. “If you’re going to burn, might as well have fun doing so, right?”
