When budget airline food doesn't taste that bad and sometimes, surprisingly EVEN BETTER than the usual economy fare from full fledged carriers. (Sorry la, never tried Business or First Class before. It's MY dream one day!) Anywho, I opted for the Hainanese chicken rice on my way to Okinawa and then the Nasi goreng on the way back to Singapore. You know it's pretty decent when you finish EVERYTHING including most of the rice (I TRY to stay away from carbs) - except for some parts that were a little underwhelming; even for me. Personally, my favourite is the chicken rice because it tasted and reminded me of home, our little red dot - Singapore. So if you want a small hint or reminder of home - order this on your next @jetstarasia flight. My recommendation is to go for the Starter Plus Bundle top up if you're traveling to somewhere far (and cold) and you REALLY NEED the luggage. Otherwise, do yourself a favor, save your wallet, skip the bundled meal + seat + luggage top up for shorter haul trips unless bobian i.e family/boyfriend/tompang duties hahahhahaha. Bonus - if you preorder your meal in advance which comes with the Starter Bundle package, it comes with a very small bottle of water AND a sinful cup of dark chocolate ice cream from @uddersicecream along with your meal. Thanks for #supportinglocalbrands :) And no, was not sponsored or paid to write this. I'm open for selective paid engagements if you are interested though. 😎 P.s my last part of my Okinawa Travelogue series is up on the blog.
