Ok so here is a headcanon that I have, whenever he patrols with Jason or they are just hanging out Dick packs a copy of Maya Angelou poems. It’s an old copy Dick bought it for Jason a year before his death and it’s pretty beaten up. The reason why he carries it is because sometimes Jason just can’t take it anymore the world overwhelms him and he collapses in on himself, and in those moments Dick leans Jason against him and reads him the poems, he reads them rhythmically and with emphasis. It grounds Jason reminds him of the time before reminds him that people care about him, reminds him that even at his weakest he is not alone.
