It had been a long and eventful day for Minako. She was currently on a small vacation of sorts in the town of Inaba. The female had recently moved to a town a few hours away but before any classes started she decided to explore the area and spend the last of her summer money before having to get buried and hassled by school and homework. She had heard a few good things about Inaba, especially the Inn she was staying at. She had wanted to check out the Hot Springs but decided that she could save it for later, knowing that there was a whole town to be toured through.
So that’s what she did. She spent the whole day walking around Inaba, buying a few trinkets here and there and enjoying some of the food of the area though as the day neared its end she headed back for the Inn, ready order out and take a long shower but once she walked into the lobby her plans had changed.
There was a nicely written blackboard sign pointing towards the opposite side of the stairs stating that dinner had been served and was complimentary for all guests. If Minako loved anything she loved food and what she loved more than that was free food. Her mouth was instantly watering at the thought of a fresh dinner rather than greasy fast food.
Minako practically skipped into the small dining area that the Amagi Inn had. The delicious aroma of Yakitori filled the whole room. It wasn’t a large area, about the size of the lobby in fact, it had tables lined up from wall to wall with a long table along the wall furthest from the door with the freshly made food resting in shiny silver tins, waiting to be served by a guest. Minako bee lined it for the plates and went through the tins one by one, serving herself a few sticks of Yakitori, rice, and a nice serving of steamed vegetables. Her stomach was growling angrily for her to sit down and start to dig in.
As Minako’s crimson hues scanned the room for places to sit she realized that there wasn’t much room, there definitely wasn’t enough space for her to have a table of her own that’s for sure… As she scanned the room she noticed a few empty seats, one next to a couple, one next to a businessman, and one next to a teenager with a blue hat. The couple seemed to be deep in a serious conversation so Minako wasn’t about to get in the middle of that… The business man seemed more focused on his laptop than his food, which was taking up most of the room on the table so even if she wanted to sit there she wouldn’t have been able to squeeze her plate onto the table along with all of this things so she took the only available spot right across from the teenager.
Smiling Minako set down her plate and waved to get the attention of the other. “Hey. Is it okay if I sit here?” She asked the other while she pointed to the empty seat; hopefully he wasn’t saving it for anyone.
