"You remember Maggie?", Adam asks as they sit at the kitchen table, trying to sound casual. Riley is his best friend and roommate after all and he wants him to know before anyone else. Still having this conversation fills him with unusual dread and nervousness, coiling his stomach into knots. For a while they'd managed to avoid the whole topic of Adam's girlfriend, though her and Riley had inevitably met eventually. It should be normal. But then why does none of this feel normal to him? "There's news actually."
