Actually, the entire place has been turned into a sort of historic site/museum. It doesn't make much money so many of the cellblocks and most of the cells are gated off and left in varying states of decay. They open it up to photographers for a few days each year. Admission is around twilight and you get to wander around without a guide and bring in tripods, flash lighting, and even live models.
