woke up from one of those dreams that's very much Too Vivid To Be Just A Dream. you know what i mean.

i was Surge and i had just gotten my ass beat by knuckles and he said to me, "If you mess with any of my friends again, I will not hesitate to put. You. Down." and like. i didn't even question it. he meant every word

i don't know have much other context except that it was the kind of beating that like, even with our enhancements, i still would feel for days afterwards. the kind of beating where you more or less drag yourself to a hole for a little bit to either die or recover enough to walk all the way home

i cut off my Sonic's leg, very nearly killed him, almost certainly traumatized him for life, and he still didn't give up on me. he even insisted Shadow spare me when the latter was about to go scorched earth on my ass.

it was frustrating and annoying at the time but man, looking back? he was a way better person than i deserved
