Luffy had finished off the last of his food a few hours ago and he was bored, not to mention starting to rethink this all. No, don’t get him wrong, he still wanted to be the pirate king - that wouldn’t ever change. It was more of thinking that setting off alone to sea when he knew nothing of navigation and had a limited amount of food was a bad idea. Which, of course it was. The 17-year-old never did think about things too much but it would all work out in the end somehow! He laid down and stared up at the sky - giving a groan just because he was that bored. Had his older brother’s first day of being a pirate been more exciting than this? He hoped being a pirate wasn’t always this boring…
Luffy unknowingly fell asleep a little time after that thought had crossed his mind. Upon waking up he was happy to discover that his little fishing boat had ran on to shore! Everything had worked out just like he thought, even if he was only lucky. The future pirate king needed lots of luck and he had it.
"Shishishi~ food, food, food~" With that chant, he had hopped out of the boat and started running closer to the populated part of the island. It was a nice and peaceful place. Men and women going about their every day business and not paying the boy much attention at all. He was so starving! By this time he hadn’t eaten in quite a few hours and that was crazy insane for someone like him! So, when he had picked up on the scent of some kind of bar - he didn’t hesitate to use his rubber powers to latch himself right through the door! Scaring the shit outta a bunch of the customer.
