Actually, a more wholesome natural diet will go for a long way towards people’s health. However many barriers have to be surmounted. For one, we must make a wise swift from white rice, white sugar, and white flour to unpolished rice, brown sugar, and wheat bread. For another, it will be very difficult to stretch the peso and buy more with little we’ve got if government cuts down the prices of such products. But I doubt if this step will be taken.
