Not my dog, but my mother's dog Happy whom I helped train. He's not much of a one for tricks but one thing he has mastered (to the extent that he'll volunteer it when begging, in the vain hope that it will get him human food) is 'rest': lying down and putting his head on his paws and sometimes even closing his eyes.
putting the head down is such a cute little trick! it’s definitely on my list of things to teach haha

I could ask my dog to do any command and she always starts to over perform – first she'll sit down, then immediately beg, then tries to give a paw or both paws and then lays down. And if I don't give her a treat fast enough she'll go for another cycle.
aw poor confused baby 😂 that’s a whole routine!!

Xena the poodle likes 'speak' the best, or at least that's the one she tries when we're teaching her a new trick and she doesn't know what exactly we want.
it’s kinda fun to see what they will default to when they don’t know what’s up yet! nora will usually back up or play dead - the latter especially, because she didn’t take to it at first and i would always heavily reinforce it (and can never resist treating her for it even now that she knows it 😂)
