Wouldn’t feel right moving on from that last post without sharing with you the story of the most popular recycled high waisted thongs in Black 👙 What many of you may not know is that I started cutting, sewing & selling these gorg thongs way before 2020 when I started Slow Garments. In 2017 I started sewing swimwear thongs specifically, which honestly was my first consistent & real “passion for fashion” project 😭 I know having Slow Garments I will never have those days back, or be 20 again lol (I’m thankful but also sad - it’s a bittersweet situation😂) I used to get the train to Brighton from Eastbourne & choose all of my material from my fave fabric store, choosing colourful and vibrant fabric, just like what I have now! I believe since the carbonara hit, the fabric shop has closed down😭🤧🤮😷 Then I’d go back with all of the excitement of having new fabric and make all of the thongs by cutting them out on my studio flat floor and sew them on my first big investment domestic sewing machine which was about £200. I started adding the thongs to my @depop (which was not as viral as it is now😂 if you were around in the #wishlist days you’re an OG lol) & soon enough, your girl was BUSY! That’s when this got serious 🪡 The high waisted thongs have made a name for themselves! And finally here we are with the final product after years of hard work.
