This is both a celebration of #worldrhinoday and my first ever encounter with a black rhino (Diceros bicornis), the most endangered African rhino species. I found this fella during the morning and it was limping and barely standing after being attacked by a pack of lions during the night. At midday it was laying on its side on the grass, the only moving thing was its right ear. I felt sad for it, I was almost sure he couldn’t pass that day. What a fool I’ve been! 
I passed once again during the afternoon and it was not only standing and walking (without limping anymore!), but it was even munching a spiny branch of a small shrub. I always though it was mockingly telling me: “dude, spines are my bread and I eat bark and hard leaves. What could four overgrown kitties possibly do to me?”.
