“Oh?” Mercy hummed, a note of idle curiosity waving through her voice as her fingers tightened around the haft of the axe. She wasn’t here for fun, and she certainly wasn’t here for theatrics, especially not on a weekend, the weapon in her hand being a statement to that.

She didn’t turn slowly.

She just turned.

Axe still in hand.

“Turn around… slowly?” she echoed, head tilting as if genuinely curious. “For what?  Dramatic effect?” A faint smile tugged at her lips. “Bit of friendly advice? I wouldn’t give instructions like that to someone holding an axe. I’d put a very safe distance between myself and the axe holder.”

Her gaze sharpened, calculating now, almost as if she was observing the other.

“But hey,” she shrugged lightly, “who am I? And who are you? That seems like the better question.”
