Links for everyone!
1. Age of Ultron is out. I saw it Friday. My wife is sad she didn't get to go. Hopefully this means I will see it again soon. It's worth your time.
2. May Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate DLC is out (and free). I'm still pushing my way into G-rank, but there's no harm in downloading free stuff for the future.
3. I signed up for drawing classes from Jake Parker at the Society of Visual Studies https://svslearn.com/#/. I picked up How to Draw Everything. It was a little basic for me, but if you've never had any drawing instruction, it's a great place to start. I plan to pick up his other classes because I can't get enough of Jake's work.
4. Also, Jake Parker's work: His youtube channel is awesome. Watching him draw so seemingly effortlessly is really inspiring.
5. Surviving Creativity is on iTunes. It used to only be on soundcloud, but now you can subscribe! It's a great show where Scott Kurtz, Brad Guigar, and Corey Kasoni have guests on to talk about interesting legal, business, and ethical issues around being a creative professional. It's has a heavy comics focus, but they've had people like Jack Conti (the founder of Patreon) and other types of guests (musicians, writers, etc.).

It was great fun to sit down with Jim Demonakos and talk about the Emerald City Comicon/ReedPOP merger. ECCC is a show that I've been honored to be a part of for a long time -- since back when it was held at the Mariners' stadium. Years after year, they've been kind enough to bring me out for the show. And year after year, I've been able to witness Demonakos build this up from a humble comic-convention-that-loves-comics into a national powerhouse -- one that never lost that love of comics. ReedPOP has acquired a phenomenal show and some supremely talented people.
Last but not least, if you love Tales From The Con, the weekly comic that I write for the Emerald City Comicon Web site, you'll be happy to know that I'll be continuing that comic for the foreseeable.
