               our  main  has  a  new  desktop  theme !   the  change  isn’t  that  notorious  since  i  kept  the  color  palette  and  text  font,  but  it’s  there  and  i  like  it,  and  hope  all  of  you  like  it  too !   if  you  see  anything  not  working  or  you  find  anything’s  hard  to  read  or  find  for  you,  let  me  know  so  i  can  see  a  way  to  fix  it.   thank  you  for  your  attention,  mwah !

               hello,  hello,  my  beloveds !   as  so  nicely,  funnily  suggested  by  a  lovely  anon,  now  the  sanctuary  has  THERAPISTS !   you  can  find  this  new  position  on  our  locations  +  jobs  page,  under  the  science  building  +  hospital  section.   it  can  be  filled  by  psychiatrists,  psychologists,  or  counselors,  and  the  only  requirement  is  that  they  have  some  kind  of  studies / experience / training  in  the  subject.   we’ll  headcanon  the  sanctuary  already  has  one  or  two,  so  our  members  can  start  adding  it  to  their  plots  and  threads,  but  we’d  love  to  see  the  role  taken  because  god  knows  these  poor,  traumatized  folks  need  it  and  will  keep  needing  it  with  what  i  have  planned  for  them.  so  if  you’re  interested,  don’t  hesitate  to  come  for  them !

hello,  my  loves !   i  updated  our  banned  fcs  list  and  added  to  it  a  list  of  pretendians  +  one  of  pro  isnotrael  celebrities  that  won’t  be  allowed  in  this  group  for  obvious  reasons.   to  those  members  who  are  using  fcs  found  in  any  of  them,  don’t  worry,  you  can  keep  them  if  you  want  to,  since  this  info  is  not  well - known  and / or  very  recent.   if  you  have  any  issues  with  this  new  measure,  please  reach  me  via  ims  here  or  dms  on  discord,  since  due  to  past  experiences  i  won’t  be  answering  anons  regarding  this  matter  ( unless  your  questions  are  harmless  and  genuine ) .   thanks  for  your  attention,  babies,  have  an  awesome  tz !

               the  day  has  arrived !   starting  today,  we’re  back  to  our  regular  schedule,  so  this  is  a  reminder  for  our  members  ( and  future  members  *expectant  side  eyes  emoji,  shining  with  hope* )  to  give  a  new  read  to  the  official  announcement  post  which  contains  all  the  information  about  it !   also,  another  read  to  our  guidelines  would  be  very  appreciated,  since  they  were  updated  recently.   hope  everyone  reading  this  has  an  amazing  tz,  and  anything  you  need,  any  questions  and  the  like,  i’ll  be  around  while  i  set  my  new  character’s  intro  and  write  my  replies !

we’re  going  back  to  our  regular,  post - holidays  schedule  this  monday,  january  8th !   hence  here  is  some  information  about  how  things  will  work  from  now  on.   if  i  missed  something  or  you  have  questions,  hmu  whether  here  or  on  discord !   you  can  find  all  the  info  under  the  cut.

ACTIVITY.     we’ll  require  three  replies  to  three  different  threads  per  mun  a  week,  but  if  you  can  do  more,  please  be  our  guest !   groups  depend  heavily  on  their  members  writing  and  we’re  not  an  exception.  for  those  writing  more  than  one  character,  try  to  do  at  least  one  for  each.  during  busy  times  ( and  every  time  i  feel  the  nagging  need )  activity  checks  will  be  conducted  via  discord.

HIATUS.     they’ll  last  as  long  as  you  need,  but  if  it’ll  be  more  than  two  weeks  you’ll  have  to  pop  up  every  seven  to  ten  days  to  update  us  or  let  us  know  if  you’re  still  around / interested  in  staying  with  us.  if  you  don’t,  we’ll  assume  you’re  not  anymore  and  your  unfollow  will  be  posted.

WRITING.     we’ll  have  two  different  types  of  just  to  an  extent  mandatory  writing  occasions:    events,  that  will  take  place  in  more  relaxed  settings  and  mainly  consist  of  special  or  specific  affairs  for  the  sanctuary  ( harvest  /  planting  seasons,  anniversaries,  birthdays,  and  any  other  kind  of  celebration;  reunions,  relevant  meetings,  and  so  on )  that  will  give  us  all  the  chance  to  explore  our  characters’  dynamics  and  strengthen  ( or  weaken  *side  eyes  emoji* )  their  bonds.   and  then  plot  drops,  that  will  move,  if  you’ll  excuse  the  redundancy,  the  group’s  plot  further,  and  will  bear  heavier  and  darker  themes  ( community  struggles  inside  and  outside  of  the  sanctuary,  possible  losses,  hostile  encounters,  missions,  crisis,  among  others ) .   these  will  change  things  around  the  place,  and  help  you  develop  your  character(s)  within  our  main  storyline  and  lore.

TASKS.     new  year’s  goal !   we’ll  start  doing  tasks  between  events  and  plot  drops  so  you  can  develop  your  muse(s)  in  a  more  relaxed,  different  way.  we’ll  try  to  stay  away  from  heavily  written  tasks,  but  we  might  have  a  few  of  those  too,  especially  if  you  request  them.  goes  without  saying  any  suggestions  or  ideas  are  absolutely  welcomed !

MORE  CHARACTERS.     from  now  on,  current  members  will  have  the  chance  to  have  up  to  four  characters  in  total,  and  then,  depending  on  activity,  you’ll  be  able  to  bring  in  more  if  you’d  like  and  feel  like  you  can  handle  them.   just  keep  in  mind  our  diversity  rules  before  sending  your  app !   guidelines  about  the  amount  of  characters  one  can  apply  with  will  remain  for  new  members.

and  i  think  that’s  all  there  is !   please,  remember  to  give  our  guidelines  a  new  read  so  you  don’t  overlook  anything,  and  as  i  said  before,  if  anything’s  missing  here  or  there’s  something  you  wanted  to  know  but  i  didn’t  mention  it,  all  you  have  to  do  is  ask.   many  kithes  on  top  of  your  lovely  heads,  babies,  and  happy  writing !

once again i’ve failed to do things on time ( please pretend to be shocked ), but ‘tis is The Season™ after all, and better late than never, right ? *holding back tears* anyway ! news about our holidays schedule, in which we’re gonna keep things very simple because it’s stuff we’ve been doing already, just unannounced:

no activity checks until january, yet we’ll still require one ic post per week ( monday to sunday ) .

this time and opposite to what we state in our guidelines, your activity can be any kind of ic post: an open / closed starter, a reply to a thread, a personal task, a self - para, or anything of the sort. the only condition is that it must be written.

if you feel unable to do any of these, don’t hesitate to ask for a hiatus !

if you have more than one muse, we won’t ask for ic activity on all of them, just one showing up on the dash would suffice, so don’t worry !

as they’ve been the past couple of weeks already, answers to questions, apps, and reserves will be slow, as well as the activity on the main. it can even be non - existent some days but don’t fret, we’ll still be around.

anddd … i think that’s all we have ! if anything important is missing or you have any doubts, please let us know or feel free to leave an ask. as aforesaid, we’ll return to regular activity and the respective checks the first week of january, so until then, stay safe, and happy holidays, my most beloveds !

sooooo ,   i’ve  decided  that …  we’re  not  gonna  have  an  activity  check  this  week !  since  a  lot  of  the  past  week’s  days  were  used  to  revamp  the  group,  it  halted  a  lot  of  members’  writing,  in  consequence,  i  think  they  deserve  a  little  bit  of  space  to  organize  themselves,  find  their  footing  within  the  changes,  and  have  more  time  in  case  they  had  anything  to  modify  for  their  muses  after  our  makeover.  so,  yes !  that !  no  checks  or  warnings  or  unfollows  due  to  activity  this  week,  which  means  members,  no  matter  how  much  time  they’ve  been  without  ic  interactions,  will  have  seven  to  ten  more  days  to  write  in  hopes  it  helps  those  lacking  inspiration  to  regain  muse  or  have  a  bigger  window  to  plot.  this,  of  course,  won’t  apply  to  new  members  ( those  accepted  after  the  revamp ) ,  they’ll  have  to  post  their  intros  and  ic  interactions  on  time  or  ask  for  an  extension,  otherwise  they’ll  lose  their  roles. big,  big  kithes  on  top  of  your  lovely,  lovely  heads,  babes !  i’ll  be  around,  come  talk  to  me  *wink*

          ⸺ OUR  REVAMP  IS  FINALLY  HERE !

and  i  bring  you  a  somehow  small  summary  to  let  you  know  what  we’ve  changed,  my  most  beloveds !

of  course,  and  as  you  can  notice  at  first  sight,  our  NAME,  color  palette,  and  graphics  images  have  changed,  and  all  our  links  and  TAGS  have  been  modified  to  fit  this.  we  also  applied  the  name  change  to  our  most  wanted  +  promo  sideblogs.  please,  let  us  know  if  anything  makes  it  hard  for  you  to  see / read  or  if  there  are  any  broken  links.

we  made  a  few  modifications  to  our  PLOT  which  are  that  the  outbreak  didn’t  happen  in  september  of  2013  but  in  march  of  2011  instead,  the  location  is  still  boulder  and  the  setting  went from the university of eastern colorado  to  the  ( very  real,  existent )  university  of  colorado,  although  we’re  not  using  images  of  said  alma  mater,  you  can  always  look  it  up  to  find  inspiration  if  needed.

we  added  NEW  LORE !!!  and  i  think  this  is  our  biggest  change,  it  includes  information  on  the  virus  and  the  infected  we’re  going  with  from  now  on.

some  of  our  locations  such  as  the  bar,  the  library,  and  the  hospital  have  been  renamed.

since  the  sanctuary  is located  in  the  university  of  colorado  now,  we’re  not  bighorns  anymore,  but  buffalos,  and  our  mascot  is  called  chip !  this  required  small  changes  here  and  there  ( our  applications,  locations’  descriptions,  follow  posts ... )  you  may  or  may  not  notice.  if  you  don’t,  don’t  worry,  though,  it  is  not  truly  relevant !

and  ...  i  think  that’d  be  all !  as  we  said,  the  changes  are  little  and  don’t  affect  the  current  events  the  group’s  going  through,  not  really,  and  despite  you  knowing  the  new  lore  is  important  for  context,  our  plot  doesn’t  rely  heavily  on  it,  but  on  the  threats  the  sanctuary  keeps  facing  ( even  though  that  can  always  change,  hehe ) . we  hope  you  cherish  these  changes  as  much  as  we  do,  and  as  usual,  any  doubts,  suggestions,  corrections,  constructive  criticism,  and  questions  are  very,  very  appreciated  —  please,  let  us  know  what  you  think !!!
