19. If I looked in your wallet, what would I find?

So, I actually pulled out my wallet for this because I have no earthly idea. 

Here goes: 

Debit card, debit card, credit card, work credit card, driver’s license, a gajillion points/stamp cards for food outlets (currently most in use: Starbucks’ Red Cups card and a hilariously named ‘Banco de Burrito’ card from Tortilla), lots of loose change, a super old photo of me and my nephew when he was a baby and a stub from a movie I went to see six months ago (WTF?!).

Oh, and randomly, one of those tester vials of perfume you get sometimes from perfume counters. I don’t even like this perfume. 

I need to clean out my wallet.

god: first line of your fav. thing you've written?

Gah, this is called ‘god’ because it’s so hard to answer.  It might not be the best written line I’ve ever produced, but I am super-fond of the start of But I Was Already There:

It was when he realized Felicity’s hands were gripping his bare ass—and that she must have undone his leather pants to get her hands there—that Oliver had to admit he had lost control of the situation.

gore: most unsettling thing you've written?

‘Unsettling’ is such an unspecific term.  And since I’m not one to write horror or to write angsty twists in my fics, I think I’ll go with Two Sides of the Same Coin, a Chuck fic I wrote that really played around with identity issues--and also consent questions.  If I was writing it now, I might not have shied away from those questions like I did when I was writing, although some of that still comes through.

I suppose that makes sense then, them changing up their story arcs. I was so truly baffled by that last episode that I literally looked up the season on imdb to make sure there wasn’t some technical mishap on my amazon account keeping me from seeing the next episode.

Oh well...because I read that fic and it was glorious. I was a little saddened to learn in the movie that Veronica had not gone on to become some form of an agent or law enforcement officer, so this fic was great for me. I have a soft spot for females in any law enforcement setting (see Teresa Lisbon in The Mentalist, Sydney Bristow in Alias, and of course Lyla Michaels among many others).

AZALEA!

azalea: what’s a movie you cried while watching?

For some reason, that scene in Hope Floats, when Sandra Bullock goes into Gena Rowlands’ closet and pulls out a dress to wear to Gena’s funeral, and presses the dress to her face?  Gets me EVERY TIME.

I'm feeling nostalgic today, so when you were in high school, what was your: 1) favorite band 2) favorite movie 3) favorite TV show and 4) celebrity crush?

I misspent my high school years, really--I was so focused on studying and college, I didn’t give myself nearly enough time to figure myself out.  Plus, I had a massive stick up my ass.  I was very set in my ways and it took me a long time to get over that and become a more open-minded, less-worried-about-other-people kind of person.

1) I was a Broadway baby. I liked musical soundtracks.

2) Speed really resonated with me, because I had just gotten my driver’s license and it introduced me to the joy of driving fast.

3) The X-Files.  I came home from my senior prom and watched the s2 finale at 3 in the morning.

4) Back then, I didn’t see the point of celebrity crushes.  Now?  I’m all about male celebrity lust objects.  :-)

Last three movies you saw in a theater?

Magic Mike XXL, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and then . . . I think it would be the Into the Woods/Annie double feature I did on Christmas day.

Favorite Leverage episode? Favorite Leverage ship? (That's two questions, I know. I'm greedy.)

Hey, I’m the girl who was practically begging you last night for more fic. I know greed ;)

Favourite episode: 

Probably The Broken Wing Job. 1) because it’s almost a bottle episode and I really love that form of storytelling; and 2) Parker and Amy. It’s no secret that Parker is my absolute favourite; her evolution was incredible, and I feel like this episode sums up exactly how far she’d come in her journey. I also feel like this episode proved why Nate’s decision to choose her as his successor was spot on. She, with Amy’s help of course, singlehandedly (single-leggedly?) solved the mystery and saved the day. She was the Hardison, the Eliot, the Sophie and the Nate all rolled into one. Plus, she and Amy kicked ass; I really appreciated the fact that no one came to Parker and Amy’s rescue; no one (no man) “saved the day”; even on crutches, she didn’t need anyone else to fight the fight for her. 

It was the perfect way to write women, and a daring experiment of an episode that really paid off. I love it. 

Favourite ship:

Parker and Hardison are the cutest things to ever cute. Aside from them, I really starting liking the OT3 in later seasons, and Eliot & Parker’s “bro-sis” dynamic was really fun, especially when she felt inadequate about certain things and turned to him for help and a confidence boost.

Are there any plot bunnies you'd really like to write but don't think you'll ever get around to?

Awwwwwww, man.  I have so many plot bunnies.  Olicity is good for that.  I mean, EVERYTHING works for those two idiots.  

I really really want to do a Laura AU, because there is nothing that fits better with the tone of Arrow than a 1940s AU.  I also have a couple of story ideas, ones that were provided by other people, that I want to do because I don’t want to disappoint anyone, but I just don’t know when I’ll get to them.  Like geniewithwifi‘s French Revolution forced!marriage and callistawolf‘s Romancing the Stone.  

Eventually I’d like to write all my plot bunnies.  I just don’t know if it’ll happen.
