Don't worry Lagnus, the other grays are just jealous of your massive sword.
❝I don’t know if I like the way that’s phrased...❞
❝ Sometimes I feel like I’m always on the outside, there’s this invisible line that I have to cross to really be a part of everything and I just can’t ever cross it. ❞ (lasorciereviolette, modern)
Love, Simon Sentence Starters
❝Woah, hold on, who says you have to cross anything?❞
❝The people who care will come to you and stick around, that’s how I see it anyway. I mean, yeah, it sure sucks that people can be assholes, but if they’re gonna be like that do you really need ‘em? Don’t surround yourself with people who are gonna make you feel like trash.❞
❝Plus, ya got me! So you can always take comfort there’s at least one person in your corner~!❞
Say, Lagnus. I'm curious. Where were you during that whole incident where Arle was the cause of a really messy incident that threatened the very fabric of time and space? Not only that, but the world where the city of Suzuran (the city that was the setting of that whole mess) was buried in Puyo during that whole ordeal! Heck, everyone involved in the incident suddenly had the ability to become young and old just like you!
❝E-Excuse me!?❞
Nice one anon, you’ve stunned him into silence for a bit! Lagnus was having a bit of difficulty wrapping his head around all that. For one thing, what the anon was telling him was INCREDIBLY out of character for Arle, and another thing was the fact this thing apparently affected EVERYTHING if the ‘time and space’ comment was anything to go by. If so, though, how did he not know of it until now? Where WAS he when this happened!?
❝P-Pardon me, but I’m having a bit of a hard time trying to process all this... Arle would never do such a thing, first of all! Not unless it was accidental, anyway! Plus I’ve helped out with many apocalyptic events before, It’d be nigh impossible for me to remember every single one, no matter how hard I try! It’s possible I could have been in a world affected and not even realised, but for now, my memory fails me…❞
This thing is going against all his logic. A place buried in Puyo and an event that caused everyone to have the same curse he had? Why would that happen? Was it the Yogs again!?
Lagnus pinched the bridge of his nose and squeezed his eyes shut as he thought long and hard about this. His brain’s going a mile a minute and it’s difficult to make sense of everything, but damn it, he has to try and figure something out with this. It’s just a lot of information to take in all at once!
❝Okay, okay. So this Suzuran was buried in Puyo, correct? A-And everyone suddenly got the ability to change between a child and an adult form like me, yes? Was that a curse? Does it work like mine? Did they have full control over it from the get-go or did they have to learn to control it like I did? I’m sorry for the bombardment of questions, but it’s all a little much to take in...❞
“You’re not alone.”
Questions/Comments
Lagnus looked down, staying silent for a few moments. Sometimes he can’t help but feel like he is alone in the world - a lone warrior up against it all, a lone warrior who was humanity’s last weapon against all that is evil.
No...
He had Schezo now, and Witch was there to back him up as well. No matter how much he felt like he was alone, he knew he had people by his side.
❝... I know. Thank you...❞
🍆
❝Mmm... Grilled eggplants...❞
(Lasorciereviolette) "... Those grays are pretty hard on you, huh." The witch sat down, seemingly staring at nothing for a few moments before looking up at Lagnus. "Whatever their damage, you've done a lot of good, okay? Keep going. You're not perfect but you're probably the best for the job. Better than I'd be, anyways." Much better. The whole hero thing? Not something she could see herself committing to.
❝I’m sure there’s a reason for it... Maybe...❞
He’d like to think there was a reason they were so focused on the bad parts of him, his failures and shortcomings. Were they just nosy? Or did they get off on mentally torturing him? He’d like to think something happened to them which made them so nasty at times, he didn’t like the idea of someone being cruel just because they can. Thankfully there’d been plenty of nice ones talking to him as well.
The witch’s next words caused him to pause, however, staring at her for a while as she spoke. He still wasn’t used to compliments, he probably never would be, but hearing such words coming from someone like Witch (who in his experience only tended to compliment people if they deserved it) did warm his heart.
❝I... That... That really means a lot to me, Witch. Thank you, I’m glad to know there’s still people cheering me on...❞
Bested any interesting monsters lately?
❝I suplexed a Cockatrice in the last dungeon I was in!❞
Even a strong warrior of the light like you has some noteworthy failures, right?
❝Why are people always asking about my failures instead of celebrating my victories? I’ve screwed up a lot, yes, but I’ve helped a lot of people as well... For once I want someone to not keep pointing out I’ve failed in the past, it’d be a nice change...❞
