#PalmOil is common in tons of household products (candies, sodas, chips, etc). The Cincinnati Zoo offers an app you can download to see if the palm oil products you're buying are using certified sustainable palm oil. The app uses info from the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RPSO), which helps ensure sustainable forestry practices *and* the health of local laborers and their families. It's called the #SustainableShopper app. Effective conservation addresses the needs of both endangered species and the human populations around them - apps like these are a step in the right direction. #CloudedLeopard #PDZA (at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium)
