Process on John. I still really liked his initial running sketch and wanted it to mirror Gin’s drawing, but I wasn't feeling the pose/expression so I decided to start from scratch. The roughs took a lot of shape sculpting since I wanted him to look different from Jerome. Since John was specifically a hunting dog he would have more of the working line GSD shape to him. Made his collar bigger with some added spikes since a hunting dog would need a thicker collar for bite protection.Tried something a bit different with the way I drew the eyes and I loved it *w*
