Happy Meals / Free Love “Synchronicity” (2018)
A new year, a new name change. The electronics couple of Suzanne Rodden and Lewis Cook release a new one-off track like last year’s “Tomorrow Could Be Heaven”. It’s three years since moving to a new residency when Happy Meals came into play and given us at Omega WUSB some of the best sounds of this decade.
The more things change, the more they stay the same. With their meditative and wellness theme, it may be why they changed their name to move away from symbolic unhealthy things and towards one of the self, unity, and utopia. Thankfully they stay the same by still sending their glowing synth-based disco pop out in the open for all to hear. They declared new music later this year. We definitely need new moments like these. Make it happen.
