Honestly my fav part abt suzudad and Ingrid is that the fact that Ingrid committing murder of the guy suzudad was trying to investigate was just like, a footnote of their otherwise average meet cute.

i spent too much time on this.
I like how opposite Suzudad and Ingrid are in some areas. Ingrid is very apathetic towards societal expectations. She finds it ridiculous that Suzudad is forced to stay locked in a shrine because of the societal expectations of his bloodline. And yet Suzudad is a Kitsune, an Elder race. Yanno, The Establishers of Society(tm) and while they aren't as powerful as they used to be, a good chunk of Elders still try to use their bloodline politically.
We don't know much about the Kitsunes and what they were like specifically but Suzuran's files still mention that Suzudad thinks his role provided relief to the people even if he also didn't want Suzuran to get trapped with shrine duties . Suzudad is at the very least unresistant to societal expectations on himself and I theorise that he's at the very least aware of how much his bloodline helps with his profession.
I feel like it's super obvious but I think I got a bit, desensitised about Suzudad being a Kitsune because of Suzuran? lmao so I forgor how much that could impact the dynamic between Suzudad and Ingrid.
Ingrid does whatever she wants, while Suzudad seems like he does have a sense of duty he has to uphold.
