uuuuh we have like 'subscribe to x plan and also pay off your phone on top of that for x years' ut i don't use them just because i like prepay options/the freedom to switch carriers

She’s had a rough time of it. Growing up with Jason is both a blessing and curse for her because, on one hand, she has an adopted brother/best friend who will always have her back. Zeus and Athena naturally work well together. They were always meant to be allies. 

On the other hand, by nature of who his father is and the importance the Greeks place on it, Jason will always overshadow her. She’s his sidekick, not an equal, in the eyes of a lot of people. If she hadn’t loved him and respected Thalia’s sacrifice so much, the resentment of not getting her due might’ve tipped her over to Kronos’s side of things. Luke tried, but overplayed his hand with that. 

Obviously, she’s still dealing with that resentment. She lost more in the war than Jason did. She had his back and no one had hers until she started spiraling out of control. She’s trying to live up to Jason’s standards, have that “normal life” he idolizes, but she’s struggling with it. She’s sort of running on sleep mode until she meets Percy, who is more her equal than she realizes.

I just finished The Hating Game on your rec and I loved it so much!!! I just went through your romance shelf on goodreads, but I thought I'd also ask: off the top of your head, can you think of anything similar? With the same witty and cutesy vibes?

Meg Cabot’s Heather Wells mystery series, starting with Size 12 Is Not Fat. Heather’s a former pop star turned college dorm manager whose residents keep winding up dead and lives with hottie PI Cooper Cartwright, who she has a massive crush on. 

Or any of Meg’s adult series, except the crappy vampire romance. She combines humor and romance so well.
