Plai and the Forest (2018) by Sarinrat Penpatcharapanich is a 2.5D animation inspired by the Buddhist folktale The Mustard Seed. A linear narrative, illustrated with realistic details, a touch of abstraction and distinctive textures, the film visually references traditional Thai landscapes, architecture and objects.
