SVCF Outreach (April 18, 2015)
SVCF had it’s first outreach for this AY 2014-2015 at the UP Barangay Hall last Saturday, April 18, 2015, headed by the fellowship’s Missions team and Evan team!
We praise God for an amazing time teaching and sharing the Gospel to the children, as well as building relationships with them and planting many seeds that day. We also praise God for 16 volunteers from the fellowship and around 60 children who came, which was twice the amount we expected and originally planned for!
Enjoy some of these pictures from the outreach.

It was a joy seeing so many happy faces that day. It was a different experience for the children and as well a blessed one for the fellowship. It was good to be exposed to this kind of outreach, to be able to connect with the kids and sharing the Gospel through different activities.
Our MCs for the day, Cyrille and Bianca!
We taught the kids different action songs as well!
We also played games with the kids, like “Bahay Bata Bagyo” and “Paint Me a Picture”, to break the ice!
The kids were divided into small groups to get to know each other better, and discuss the activities that were done.
We also prepared a short skit about the “Prodigal Son”, to which the kids seemed to really enjoy. It also helped them get a better picture and a visual of God’s mercy and love.
As one of the main goals was to share the Gospel to the children, we told them different stories that would help them understand the Gospel more--to give them a better understanding of who God is, and we were saved from sin through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. One of the ways we portrayed this was through a story called “Ticket to Heaven”. Another was through a visual representation using three plastic cups, holding three different liquids, representing “sin”, which was black, “you and me” which was clear, and “Christ” which is also clear. By mixing the liquids, we showed how “sin” made us (”you and me”) dirty, but through “Christ” we have been saved, made clean and free from sin.
We truly thank God for the opportunity to serve Him through this outreach, ad to make Him known to these children. We truly pray the Lord continues to work in the lives of these children. Continue to pray with us!
Thank you for all those who came and volunteered and participated, supported, and helped one way or another. :)
