According to Xanathar's Guide to Everything, Svirfneblin (deep gnomes) weigh between 80 to 120lbs. Standard gnomes are between 38 to 44lbs (35+2d4+1).
How to do Sverfneblin weigh twice to 3 times as much as standard gnomes? Do they have osteoderms? Are their bones comprised of a different kind of composite metal? Are they super stocky and really buff?
Does anybody have an answer?
