Every time he jumped there was that r u s h that would fill his blood and drown him in the feeling of falling and flying and feeling that nothing else could manage to give him. Diving off buildings was a normal thing in his day to day life, and thankfully he didn’t need sight to experience it.
At least, not until the landing.
Arms spread wide, wind catching immediately in the suit designed specifically for just that, he could feel all worries or fears simply be blown away by the wind that whipped around him and bit at his face. And for a little bit, he was okay just like that. Gliding through the air until the shape of the ground was in view.
The area was relatively empty, and he only found one hitch in his dive. The one person who was just there, a blurry figure not moving from where he would shortly be landing. And still, the figure didn’t move even when he got closer. Though it didn’t cross his mind to yell out to him to move. He tried to readjust his landing, but it was WAY too late for that.
He collided with the person, their much smaller body going down beneath his own. Valery pushed himself up to hover over the other.
“Der'mo, sorry! Are you okay?”
