09 .   a  kiss  to  prove  a  point .

“ tell me you don’t want this , and i’ll go , ” luca’s voice is low , barely audible if there were anyone else in the room . a hum just above whatever music they turned on hours ago to underline the night , voice likely only detectable because of how close he is to her . his body is turned on the couch so he faces her , back to the coffee table littered with empty bottles and shot glasses , an ash tray with burnt stubs , a visual map of their regrettable decisions . he’s close enough to smell the droplets of her last drink on her breath , the same way she can probably smell his , when he raises an eyebrow , like he’s silently challenging her . his eyes drop to her lips , then lift back to her eyes , only needing the subtlest of body cues to know he’s right . there’s a look in her eye , different from the glazed expression under the influence , and he begins to smirk , which turns into a crash of his lips onto hers . he pours everything just short of love into the kiss , determined to make it one she won’t forget , no matter how inebriated they are presently . maybe it’s the wrong call to enable each other in more ways than one , but that’s never stopped luca from making certain decisions before , and it certainly isn’t stopping him now . hands cupping around her jaw to keep her close in the midst of the kiss , his smirk only seems to widen when he finally pulls back for air . “ so ? ”

cocaine jesus by rainbow kitten surprise for magda.... she luvs rainbow kitten surprise a lot they’re probably top 3 musicians fr her n then like. some of the lyrics feel personal to her as well.... i shan’t elaborate.

slight night shiver by m83 wld definitely make cricket cry n probably has when he discovered it fr the first time... there literally aren’t even any words bt the crickets chirping in the background n the general sounds wld put him right back to living in lilac ridge at night n be very overwhelming for him.... i don’t think he can listen to this song most of the time bt sometimes when everything’s bubbling up to the surface more than usual he might slip his earphones in and listen to it in bed with his eyes closed. looks away.

💔 my muse would listen to after a breakup

nyla would listen to these boots are made for walkin by nancy sinatra.... can’t even explain their thought process in choosing this as their breakup song bt when they “broke up” (if u can call it that bc he always kept nyla secret) w a guy from their past called aj rather than succumb to the overwhelming shame of the fact he spread nasty rumours abt them they got impossibly high n danced around w this song blasting in their sugar daddy’s empty penthouse <3 it’s called coping...

basil :   does your muse have a love - hate relationship with anyone or anything ?

i think her whole relationship with irving is very love / hate , though we’re still working on exposing the love . it’s there deep down somewhere . as for people , she has a love / hate relationship with magda . she gets angry and upset with her , but at the end of the day , she still cares and has developed a soft spot for the other over the course of their relationship . @ncbodyshome

FOR ROSEMARY :

begonia :   how cautious is your muse ?   are they prone to noticing red flags ,   or paranoid to the point of untrusting most everyone ?   why or why not ? 

rosie is definitely cautious of her own decisions to make sure she does the right thing to please her parents and not ruin any reputations , but she’s not necessarily cautious when it comes to other people . she trusts and sees the good in others , even if it’s hard to see . she’s very naive in that sense , though she wouldn’t call it that . she chooses to believe in the good , and has little reason to think otherwise . 

FOR LUCA :

daffodil :   is your muse one to be loyal in relationships ,   or are they likely to quickly move from one bond to another ?

i like to think luca can be a great friend , but at the end of the day , he’s looking out for himself . i don’t think he’s disloyal , he just doesn’t trust relationships of any kind . it’s always been himself against the world , so there’s no reason to think any relationship now will be any different .

burgundy: how often do you make your bed? what do your favourite bedsheets look like?

their  bed  somehow  matches  the  rest  of  their  personality  ----  grey,  messy  and  gloomy.  rarely  makes  their  bed,  if  ever,  and  washes  sheets  weekly  but  doesn’t  actually  make  their  bed  afterwards  (  puts  the  fitted  sheet  on  and  calls  it  a  day,  actually  )  .  has  had  the  same  sheets  for  years,  hates  change.  thinks  its  unnecessary  when  these  work  just  fine  -  won’t  tell  you  how  old  are  they,  simply  because  it’s  kind  of  gross  and  also  embarrassing.  likes  to  sleep  with  one  fuzzy  blanket  in  specific  -  a  lighter  shade  of  grey  and  the  home  of  many  of  charlie’s  biscuits.

⚗️ for what scent my muse associates with yours :

the unmistakable overuse of chemicals in too much hairspray stagnant in the stuffy air backstage of a hectic fashion show . the strong signature scent of designer perfume darcy’s mom used that rubbed off on the girls as kids whenever they were around . the slight burning smell of possibly one too many curlers and straighteners on and in use at once . the obvious and futile attempt to mask the stench of alcohol seeping through clothes and off her breath . the piercing minty fresh scent of a particular gum’s brand that nadira gave darcy in not-so-subtle hints that her breath still smelled like alcohol .

the sugary sweetness of candy brought back from home , and when rosie would drop by cherry’s parents’ shop to see her . the mix of all their beauty products lingering in the bathroom after they both used it , or had a girls night getting ready together for a party in college . the subtle floral soy candle rosie used to keep lit in their living room . the musky scent of old books from study nights in the library cramming for midterms and finals . the distinctive smell of cherry’s beetle from their drives from home/school . fresh spring scents , whether she smells it out and about in passing or from new house plants .
