               AJ exhaled a heavy breath as he exited the ring with some of the lower names of the performance center. It was a nice break away from everything that has been going on the last few months. Just being able to do what he loves without anyone making things personal. It was a nice feeling for the most part... until he heard someone make a remark to him from behind him. That voice. There was no mistaking who that voice belonged to. He didn’t even need to see her face to know it was Peyton Royce. It was the first time in a while that he’s heard her voice directed towards him. AJ used his towel and wiped the sweat drops from his forehead as he turned around to face her. Each hand held onto the bottom ends of the towel which was wrapped around his neck. He wasn’t even sure what words to say to her. “Could’a stepped in the ring with us and showed the gals a thing or two.” the Phenomenal One would go on to suggest because despite everything that has happened... he still felt that she was an amazing talent and someone who was fun to work with. Besides, then he would’ve had an excuse to talk to her and be close to her again. “Thanks though... and by the way... congrats on your uhh... big win down under.”

                The Phenomenal One quickly moved forward and cupped his hand over her mouth to silence her before she could say anything else. “Now is… Now is seriously not the time for this conversation,” he said which led to AJ bringing his hand from her mouth down to her hand. “At least not right here.” His fingers wrapped around Peyton’s hand and he led them to a slightly more secluded area where they would be safe to talk. It wasn’t ideal but it would do for now. Who knows how long they had before Billie came looking for her partner or worse. He knew he had to act and talk fast because who knew how long he had.  AJ peaked his head around the corner and made sure the ghost was clear before his attention turned back to Peyton. 

                “Wendy is here tonight. She’s in the building. You can’t be saying that out loud.” His wife was still well aware that he had cheated on her with someone but she still didn’t know who that someone was. AJ never said any names to protect Peyton because he knew there would be hell to pay if she knew that someone was on the same roster as him. Styles’ voice did have a sense of panic to it as it continued. “I don’t want us to be finished either but… I can’t. I can’t do this to Wendy. I can’t do this to my kids. What am I supposed to tell them? I ain’t with their mother anymore because I found someone else who I care about more? That would crush them and I ain’t too sure if I could do that to them.” AJ took a step closer which shortened the distance between himself and the Aussie.

                 The WWE Championship was set to the side because the weight of it was becoming a little too much for him to hold right now when there was so much more weight on his shoulders right now. He knew this was going to end badly and he knew there was a good chance this could end with him losing both Wendy AND Peyton. AJ took a deep breath and continued. “But if you wanna find her and tell her everything then… I probably deserve that for makin’ this go on for as long as it has. I ain’t gonna stop you.”

               "Ain’t anyone around. You don’t have to worry ‘bout a thing.” The elephant in the room (more so the ring on his finger) still hasn’t been addressed but that still hasn’t stopped the Phenomenal One from pursuing Peyton ever since her arrival to Smackdown Live. The feelings were still there and it was easier to pretend it wasn’t there for the sake of them. His hand rested against the wall behind her as he leaned in closer and closer until finally, their lips met and they were kissing. It was lasting a little longer than it should’ve since anyone could show up at any given second. Did he care if they got caught? Well... Yes, AJ did care for obvious reasons.

               The comment made by Peyton phased him more than he was willing to admit. After all, you never wanted to hear something like that from someone you were attracted to. “I didn’t come down here to talk to you. Don’t worry. I left a hat of mine in the locker room from the last time I was here.” he informed her of his intentions for making another visit down to the Performance Center. As he went silent now, ice like blues kept themselves focused on the Aussie a little longer than he probably should’ve. “I don’t plan on staying. I’ll get out of your hair.”

             Styles never planned to meet up with her in Miami since that was the site of the house show he was set to work this night, but it was only a three hour trip from Orlando so he wasn’t too surprised that he managed to pickup a ‘friend’ along the way. It started off like how things would normally go. They’d pretend they didn’t know a thing about one another until they ended up in the hotel room where things ALWAYS go heated between them. Clothes scattered on the floor and two bodies become one as they went at it into the long hours of the morning. When Styles woke up, eyes fluttering open and looking over to see the Australian fast asleep (?) on her side of the bed. God, he was always so tempted to just reach over and kiss her or cuddle her. Instead, he only flashed a grin as he began to sit up from the bed. His body turned so that his legs could hang over the edge of the bed while his feet rested flat on the hotel room floor. Styles gave himself a couple of seconds to wake up before he pushed himself off the bed and started to gather his clothing with the intent of going to get coffee, not leave her there. He cared a little too much to do that to her... at least now.
