❝ Hey. Eighteen. Do you actually remember... you know, names? ❞
Her eyes shifted both ways at the inquiry, it was weird to hear such questions from him. Seventeen was the type to live the present, not worry about the past as much as she did but apparently she was wrong, and he was just as curious as herself. Her arms were crossed, and her foot tapped the floord repeatedly. SHE DID REMEMBER NAMES, his and hers. But it didn’t go beyond that, mom and dad were blurry faces; they had parents just didn’t remind them. They didn’t last long anyways, at lost not that she remembers. “Whose names?” She didn’t want to answer, their past wasn’t easy, her memories seemed to second that yet who knows if they’re even real. For all she knew, Gero could’ve made her imagine that she was better off as an android. Yet, she didn’t dare to lie to him, they had been through thick and thin, LIES WERE NOT PART OF THEIR VOCABULARY; they used to be but after being torn away from their humanity there was no necessity to lie. She closed her eyes, fists so tightly held her nails perfored through the skin. Had she had normal blood vessels and not ‘ enhaced ‘ ones, she’d be bleeding right now instead she just was bruising herself. “Lapis, Lazuli. Only names I remember. It was us.”
