Prompt 2/92: “It reminded me of you.” / “I want you to be happy.”
“Oliver! St-stop it!” A bubbly laugh escaped him as Oliver pressed him up against the wall of his bedroom, lips to his jaw, to his neck, to his lips. “You haven’t even told me where you got this yet. I-I wasn’t aware you liked to sho- ah-” His words distorted as Oliver’s synthetic teeth nipped at his own synthetic skin, fizzed into static for a moment- “shop at Claire’s.”
He wrestled an arm free of Oliver’s grip to tap at the orange glass stud earring in his left ear, given to him when the Google Units had returned to the facility earlier that afternoon.
“I may have swiped it off our client’s dresser,” Oliver whispered, and kissed the earring. “It reminded me of you.”
Bing’s eyes sparked behind his sunglasses. “And here I thought you were programmed to follow rules.”
Oliver laughed-- a sound more metallic and whirring than an actual laugh; he may have been the most human of the Google Units, but he wasn’t as human as Bing-- “I’ll tell you a secret,” he said. “Only Blue is programmed like that. I,” he added, dipping his head to kiss Bing’s neck again, earning a soft whir that could, perhaps, be taken as a groan, “can do whatever I want.”
“And what do you want?” They’d had this exchange half a dozen times; always, Bing did the asking.
And always Oliver had an answer. “I want you to be happy.”
