BEHIND CLOSED DOORS: BAISHE KINGS! NAKED! HA!

Me, Myself & I.  De La are never wrong!  They came with some truth with that mind-state.  I'm feeling the subtle surge of emcees  who are coming to the table as crews but individuals within them, flanked by all their dimensions and inner -selves.

Baishe Kings are exuding 'Swaishe', letting us know their

flows never constipate, top shitters....

When emcees come as their own person the result is individualism, imagination, and dare I say it?  FUN!  Regardless of lyrical content, whether it be shoot em up, political, humorous, it warms the cockles of my heart if I can tell that the emcee is ENJOYING spitting.  Listening to the Kings really made this apparent to me.  So many rappers seem to hate rapping! I don't get it! Baishe Kings LOVE  what they are doing, you can hear it in their flows and tones cuz...

I've been going back again and again to The Legend Of Bo Zeus the Baishe Kings current musical smorgasbord aka mixtape.  No pretensions here, just genuine quirkiness, mad flows, streams of thought, dope production, cool artwork. Some of the sounds are indeed ethereal and journey making.  Taking your thoughts naturally to other zones.  Intriguing whichever way you look at it.  I'm already using their vernacular cuz "ULTRATARDED FLOWS" seems to best sum these cats up.  I know only a tiny bit about these dudes background (Kenyan heritage, London residents "Kenyan Lion chilling with the Pride") but I'm gonna stick to the music  on this occasion cuz I know I will be revisiting them again on this blog soon for a gentle Hip Hop inquisition.  No torture will be involved I hasten to add unless it is specially requested! Ha!  Nobody get scared, nobody gets hurt!:)

ps I don't think my ears have been deceived...I'm fairly certain I didn't hear the word 'ghetto' on any of the tracks.  A blessing in my eyes.  If I'm wrong, if my bete noire ghetto is snuggled in there somewhere, the Kings are not chaining themselves to it that's for sure. Floating above it would be a more likely scenario:)
