8, 12, 19 and 27 for Finarfin/Feanor please! c:
Ohoho my special boys. they're a mess. I love them.
What do they love most about the other? Why?
Arvo idolises Fëanor. He sees him as so extremely talented and so handsome and confident and feels all gooey and soft inside. But what he loves most is the look Fëanor gets in his eyes when he has an idea - he's so in love with his craft and his projects, its inspiring.
Fëanor loves Arvo's wit, though he might deny it. He keeps his comments to himself in public, but he often shares them secretly with Fëanor. There's a reason snakes are associated with the Arafinweans.
Do they have a difficult time when separated from each other, or are they fairly independent?
They are both very independent; they both have wives (until Nerdanel invents divorce I guess) and children and live in different cities - it's a long distance love affair, and that is part of the appeal. When they spend too long together the fighting starts.
After the Darkening, well, Arvo is left alone. He does not cope very well but he's got no choice. Fëanor is busy exploding. Also I think the relationship had severely deteriorated by Darkening.
Do they wear each other’s clothes/jewelry?
No haha, they have very different aesthetics. Arvo does where jewellery that Fëanor gifts him though.
How do they say “I love you” non-verbally?
I think Fëanor is the type to give gifts or do grand gestures.
Arvo only relaxes around people he loves; if you see him with his hair down (literally and metaphorically) you are lucky. He also shares his art with Fëanor.
The fic that this was made for here!
swanboat for @brazenbells
(After Finarfin hugs Fëanor)
Fëanor: Thank you, brother. Your love has broken the curse and freed my soul. I’ll never have to kill again.
Finarfin: Really?
Fëanor: Nah, I’m just screwing with ya
If you haven't seen "Happiness is Here" in Tokyo Disneyland, you'd better hurry. The parade closes forever on April 8th! Jody says: "The "Princess" float, if based on anything, was something like a Swan boat, similar to something you might find in a 'Tunnel of Love' type attraction. I really love interesting characters and it was fun to draw into the concepts characters we haven't seen in the parades before (such as from the "Silly Symphonies" cartoons), and think of ways they could perform and more importantly how we could make them. I do love Woodland Cafe, Musicland, Cookie Carnival and tons of the Silly Symphony shorts and hope to bring some of the other great characters to "life" in future projects." #kevinandjody #tokyodisneyland #happinessishere #parade #scenicdesign #swanboat

swanboat + something undiscovered for the ficlet thing <3
They’d spent the afternoon bickering, with enthusiasm and a great deal of linguistic precision, whether the mysterious new landform Arafinwë had sailed them out to was a true island or simply a very ambitious sandbar; regardless of its geographical classification, it had provided a fine place for a private picnic.
“Oh,” said Arafinwë suddenly, with such a convincing note of surprise that even Fëanáro, who knew better, half believed it, “the Mingling already?“ And then with a deceptively serene smile, the kind Fëanároknew was likely to get them both into trouble of a certain sort— “I suppose we’ll just have to pass the night here, then.”
