rabbit - i liked the thought of Shadow caring a lot about Cream because she reminds him of Maria, so my brain went Maria = rabbit 👍
fox - if Maria and Tails are getting swapped, then their species would also get swapped so that would mean that Maria = fox, Tails = human 👍
