I got to be part of a super cool art circle with @yaraneechan, @waivyjellyfish, and @kyanako5972 -- the full thing is here! Featuring their ocs, respectively: Gifted Telepath, (it was for oc-tober but I'm ocless so blorbo be upon ye), Dokuro Mina and Waivy-doll, and Claire Inez!

It was really cool to work with their talent in such different processes and skills, it was a really fun experience :D

September 2 is Claire Inez's birthday!

I'm sure I've lore dumped about her plenty, so I'll spare you the ramble for now. But send your regards her way at @claire-inez, and maybe she'll tell you a little something.

March 12 is Angelo Cors's birthday.

This is probably the same outfit that I drew him in last year. Oops.

He wears glasses and contact lenses. This time, the contacts aren't colored, but he likes cat yellow eyes.

He's Claire's second cousin, so she'd be very open to talking about him on the ask blog.

His sisters, Marianna and Josefina, are a year younger and an inch taller than he is.

March 7 is Cyrissa Bales's birthday!

I meant to draw this sooner, but I was out all day yesterday. I was watching Sibling's marching band at a parade for the final time (as Sibling is graduating). Cyrissa would make a great baton twirler.

Brush pen test

I got some art supplies as a gift!

Of note was a waterproof brush pen. I decided to test it out by drawing Trudy.

Rudimentary map of cities in SWAP Ensemble/Behind Closed Doors/Heartland of Regrets. May or may not be flipped vertically depending on my feelings of them technically being in the southern hemisphere of Philharmonia.

For some perspective:

West Summit Unified School District comprises Serenade, Rising Sun, and Nutcracker

East Mountain High School is in Nutcracker.

The IRL city corresponding to Iambus is east of Dauerton, but this is my world, so I'm allowed to change the geography 😎

Harmony City is, in fact, the Harmony family's domain. However, many of the family members are located in Rising Sun and neighboring cities.

Prominent universities in the story are located in: Dauerton, Iambus, Ponticello, Setzer, Baton Ocre (Arya University), Sarabande, and Harmony City. Prominent community colleges in the stories are in Serenade and Canary. Coro Cullinary school is also of note.

For a sense of scale, Nutcracker and Canary are 50 miles apart.

Most of these are taken from my "Behind Closed Doors" doc, but Rallit and Mapleton are names I came up with just now.

While Sunset Pier is the southmost named city, there are some yet-to-be-named cities of importance further down.

August 14 is Troy Bonsen's birthday. Fortunately, I didn't forget this year.

Troy is the youngest contestant of SWAP Ensemble. He's a 7th grader, 12 and a half years old. The age cutoff for grades is September, so he's practically the youngest in his grade. Turie and Trudy are fall kids, so they're on the older end of their grade.

This series of birthday drawings is supposed to age up the kids a bit, but I don't think Troy ever looked younger than a teen. The perpetual scowl doesn't do him any favors, and neither does his height. Still, I tried sketching him with a more angular face and smaller eyes to make him look a tad older.

He's 6'2" in SWAP Ensemble and 7'2" as an adult. That makes him the third-tallest contestant (after Connie at 6'6" and Turie at 6'4"), but he's the tallest as an adult.
