for some of these, i took creative liberties in simplifying the designs, particularly the designs made by comyet (looking at you, fresh ink...). for the old aus, i tried to stick to my own ink's color palette to keep them as uniform as i could, but for the newer aus, i used the original color palettes :9 once again aside from the comyet inks, none of these designs are mine and their respective creators can be found here -> credits

personally, i always think it's a bit goofy to credit characters under every post, since everyone should already know who the creators are in this fandom... but sometimes i still see people get creators wrong, so it seems my assumption of common sense is flawed. anyways,

they're right to ask: what is swapinverse?

you could say swapinverse is an alternate UTMV focused around the apple twins, dream and nightmare. dreamtale and the twins are different, the apple incident never happens, and ink is more eccentric than he usually is. sound interesting?

or instead there's the idea of swapinverse being an alternate UTMV with the gimmick of (loosely) swapped inverses. roles of characters swap, while their original traits or aspects become its inverse. think of it as something similar to template!error and pale!ink! but emphasis on the loosely.

and then there's also swapinverse as an exploration of some of UTMV's potential possibilities. concepts and ideas are altered and expanded, and like always, us creators are at the core of it. mostly just me, though.

swapinverse is all of these, and yet none. because it's also just a fun project that's been in development since december of 2023! who am i? @triglycercule, a humble creator making a cool idea i had just like you, but in the case of this blog...

it will be managed by a certain three: my murder swap trio, seer, mania, and paranoia. if you know me, this is perfectly on brand (°ε° ) they will answer asks, comment on posts, and grace us creators with their presence. as for the rest, dream, nightmare, ink, cross, and error... they are the main cast, and i hope you enjoy their story (✧▿✧)

it begins with three: seer, mania, and paranoia. before any events of swapinverse happen, the murder swap trio must meet! they cause the existence of (almost) every main cast member, influence the plot, and even manage the blog itself. so of course, the origin must come first.
