i love mona and aster bc they are two besties who hate each other and think the other is boring/stupid/uptight/annoying and they have nothing in common but there is still a deep and meaningful love between them as two ppl who have lived with artifice their whole lives and who can be entirely genuine and at ease with the other. mona finds aster refreshingly uncomplicated and aster finds mona inspiring in everything she does. aster reminds mona of the expansive joys of living and mona reminds aster of improvement and growth. they would openly feud online and it would only half be ironic.
