Fun Fact!
There were two versions of the swarm form spell in 3e. One was in Dragon #280 (not coincidentally the Sorcerer issue, which the mun owns in print); it's a 5th level spell (1 hour/level, personal) that lets you turn into any swarm summonable by summon swarm and "you can also choose any Tiny or smaller animal or vermin to compose the swarm instead". The other is a Warlock invocation that's considered subpar. Neither let you do the one thing they should (separate the members of the swarm so that they can all escape in different directions, giving you a higher survival rate).
