Remember how that deathly hallows symbol in Harry Potter was hated because it was seen as the symbol of Grindelwald who basically (tried to?) Commit genocide, but we find that the symbol itself stood for something different (aka the deathly hallows/immortality)? Well, that's exactly what's happening to swastikas.

Before y'all start cursing me as a Nazi, let me be clear, that symbol was stolen from a different culture that's still using it and no, it wasn't the fault of that culture that a certain German asshole decided to steal that symbol just because it was pretty or something.

The swastikas originated from Sanskrit and symbolise progress and goodluck. It's used EVERYWHERE in India. It's painted on new vehicles so that they don't have an accident, it's painted on the doors of new houses so that its occupants get good luck and prosperity. It's a part of the religion and doesn't have any negative connotations attached to it as far as the original culture is concerned. The swastika is a deep rooted part of the Hindu culture and it was being used as a positive and auspicious symbol BEFORE Hitler decided to steal it to commit atrocities. (It's still being used, and it's being used a lot, so if you're somebody genuinely triggered by the symbol I advice you not to go to Indian temples or any place that is a symbol of the Hindu culture)

So if you see somebody using Swastikas, it might not be because they are a Nazi, it might just be a part of their culture and has nothing to do with the atrocities that had happened in its name. I feel so sad and my hatred for the Nazi has gone up by a (ton) notch now.

Um also, arya and aaryan were also words stolen from the Sanskrit language and they mean "sun/descendants of the sun" and "ancient warriors". So yeah, not only is Hitler a tyrant dictator asshole who failed to get into art school and decided to kill people just because he could, he's also a nasty thief who steals from other cultures and makes them infamous.
