The shot rang out loud in the bedroom at the top of the tower. It all happened so fast that now that things had slowed you could start to process the horrible events. You squeezed Lexa’s hand in yours to remind her you were there. Your love, your twin flame. When the shot hit and she fell to the ground, you screamed so loud and gutturally that the guards ran in at once.
“Hodnes..” Lexa touched where the bullet had entered and pulled her hand away smeared in black. You had your shirt off and on her wound by the time her forest green eyes had registered the blood. You pressed her wound with your shirt and heard a shuffling of feet behind you.
“What happened?” A calming voice asked from beside you on the ground. Ocean eyes were taking in the scene of the commander on the ground and her wife trying to stop some sort of bleeding.
“A loud bang from below. One of your ski weapons.” You narrowed your eyes at Clarke. Her title of WanHeda had never scared you. You remembered when she had just landed from the sky. How small and timid the sky people had seemed.
“We need to move her onto the table. I can help. We can save her together Faya. I’ll need your help moving her.” You closed your eyes as you felt the warmth of black blood under your hands. Lexa’s breathing was sharp and you gave a quick nod.
“I will help you Clarke.” You shifted your attention back to the woman laying below you on the ground. “Beja ai hodnes, oso souda yu.”
It took the two of you and the two guards by the door to move Lexa onto the table. Clarke had sent several of them out to gather her supplies. The instruments she used were odd shaped but you didn’t register you were crying until Lexa slowly lifted a hand to wipe a stray tear off of your cheek. You tried not to flinch when she screamed out when Clarke put on the cleaning solution to the entry wound.
“It looks like it missed vital organs but it didn’t go clear through. This is going to hurt Lexa but I have to get the bullet out. You might need to hold her shoulders down so she doesn’t move while I extract it.” Clarke explained. She was very professional and the longer this went, the more you found yourself in relief that she was here on ambassador business with the other krus. You wiped the rest of your tears and steeled yourself. The guards were nearby but you needed to be there for her. You needed to do this for you. You bent down and kissed Lexa’s sweaty forehead and then used all your strength to keep her in place. She squirmed and tried to move out of your grasp for only a few moments and then she seemed to go limp on the table. You could still see her chest rising with air and watched as Clarke held up the small object that had almost torn your life apart.
As Clarke was getting the last stitch into place Tidus had ran in, finally hearing that the shot meant for you had hit your love instead. You had never liked the fleimkepa and he had never liked you. He thought you made Heda weak and had threatened you a few days before about ending up like Costia. You didn’t tell Lexa about it, thinking he was bluffing and why upset Lexa when you don’t have too but the longer he stood in front of you with the sky weapon in his hands and Lexa’s black blood on yours, the absolute need to pummel him into the ground was.
“Take him to the cells. Heda will deal with him when she is awake.” You told the Gonas in trigedasleng. They grabbed Tidus without a second thought and dragged him away.
“It was meant for you! Not Heda!” He had tried desperately to get out of their grasp but was quickly silenced and hauled down below to a cell.
You blinked a few times as green eyes met your own. She had been asleep most of the day following the healing that Clarke did. Clarke had come in every hour or so like clockwork checking the stitches and checking Lexa’s temperature. She was almost out of the danger zone was the last thing Clarke had said to you. Something about infections but you found you couldn’t really follow.
“Ai hodnes?” She croaked. You quickly grabbed the water cup from beside the bed and helped her drink. She cleared her throat and you saw her eyes take in the bandages across her abdomen.
“Yu laik hir. Leksa.” You leaned across her, careful of her wound, and pressed a quick kiss to her cheek and then to her warm lips. They were soft against your chapped ones and as you sighed into her in relief, she wiped your tears away.
Hi sweet, how are you?:) So, I just read both parts of "Strik Soncha" and I wanted to say that I loved it, I loved your writing, I would like to know if you plan on doing a third part;))
I do! I have the third chapter mostly done just gotta figure out the way I want the ending to go lol. Thanks for asking tho! It put the fic back on radar lol. Im glad you've enjoyed it so far! I love writing for Lexa c:
what does it mean to flirt 24/7 in person AND via text but in the end you always tell yourself you're joking and spending the night together in bed and risking to kiss 3 times but nothing happens but there's a lot of physical contact and a lot of intertwined hands????
I'd think it means it's headed toward a relationship. But I would def discuss this with the other person. Consent is everything and if they were just joking then you could have a discussion about boundaries and why that's hurtful to you.
It could be this person isn't ready to come out yet and no one should be pushed into that either. All in all, I think some talking about intentions and boundaries within your friendship should def happen. Dancing around the bush on fire is only going to make you warm.
Hi! I have been amazed by your writings and would like to request. I don't know if you've watched the movie 'About Time', but it is about someone having the ability to go back and time. In this scenario, reader would be the one who can travel back in time. Thank you so much!
Thank so much for your kind words! I haven't seen that movie unfortunately but I can always find it online c: which pairing did you want for this time travel romance?
